Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Hot Problems

I came in here expecting to have a debate with Twipply. Oh well.

(And now, Twipply comes and says that I mention him in way too many of my posts.)

So you came here just to mention Twipply, just so he will comment, so then you can have a debate?

Debate? Is that all you crave for? I find it kind of silly that, that is all you want, all the time.

Of course it's not. I just wanted to share my opinions and why, and at least try to give some people a sort of acceptance of a different opinion.

Besides, debate is a very good skill to have. Two people in my school are ranked #'s 1 & 2 for debate in the US (for high school). I may not be as good, or as devoted, but I still like it sometimes.

What I really want is for the next damn Avatar episode to come out already...

Nope
Top 40 = Recent popular best selling music
Today's music - Recent music (popular or not popular)

I'd like you to find a song from 2005 in the top 40.

Why are you so obsessed with Twipply? He's not going to debate on every single thing you want him to, especially when it's something so trivial as this. For my sanity (and possibly his), please stop mentioning Twipply constantly in your posts because to be honest there's no reason to suck up to him or debate or whatever your excuse is. To be quite honest, every single time you name-drop Twipply in your posts, I like you a little less because you're seriously starting to come off as a fanboy and I can't stand fanboys. Especially for my friends who to be honest aren't the fanboy deserving type, but then again I don't even think there IS a type who deserves fanboys.
Also, every single thing I see this topic, I think of something like first world problems but with hot people, and I become disappointed, much like with most of the topics in off-topic.

Re: Hot Problems

Personally, I don't like how people seem to value music.   They're more interested in who the artist is and how 'gangster' they are.   They like what they're told to like by the industry and by their peers.   I don't think they often even think about what it is that they're listening to.

They should be far more interested in the music itself.   Are the lyrics thought provoking?   Do they invoke emotion in you?   Are they elegant or sophisticated?   Are they skilled in their particular instruments?   Do they even play any?

What's in the charts is often made for the commoner by the corporate world.   It's not music, they aren't artists, and they're not worth my time.   It's just noise to me.

However, I do love this one: Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe

I'd be more impressed if those debates were purely based upon facts and reason.

What kind of question is that?

Re: Hot Problems

Dklevels, there is nothing impressive in the top 40 chart. Deciding this from one song or not doesn't matter, they are all unimpressive.

To you. Obviously a lot of people disagree else they wouldn't be in the Top 40 now would they? Besides, read the actual conversation, the top 40 has nothing to do with what I've been trying to say.
Edit : Also, nub. Come to IRC so you can actually talk to me!! //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Exactly, you might even have trouble find one from 2010.

It's all 2011 and 2012, which is horrible music. I was just looking at the chart... Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Usher, LMFAO and Labrinth. (The rest I have never heard of, or some are okay ) I just don't understand it, why do people listen to such horrible music.

Re: Hot Problems

I'm not obsessed with Twipply. It just seems that whenever I get in a debate, he is there.

What I meant is that the title of the thread "Hot Problems" sounds like it is going to be about Abortion, Gay Marriage, and stuff like that. I had no clue it was a song and I will not bother listening, because I know I will hate it.

Twipply, what makes you think that they are not based upon fact and reason?

EDIT: And this doesn't mean that I like debates necessarily, I just feel like I should voice my opinions.

One doesn't ever expect Twipply to like the things he does. I'm pretty sure he only likes that video because the girl is cute.
Or maybe because the guy is.
