Entirely, utterly, 100% fake.   There is no question or debate.   No uncertainty or leeway.   It will not happen.   It could never happen.   Anyone claiming anything other than what I have said is completely wrong.   Anyone that believes them is wrong.   Anyone that gives it even a remote possibility of being true is wrong.   All following people and posts will be forever wrong if they disagree with me.

I'm not convinced there will be such an event.

Plus, I hate the argument "they just ran out of space". This is an ancient civilization that - like mentioned - is quite advanced. I think they would know how to overcome a simple rock-slab shortage. The one book I read on the subject mentioned it being the end of their long-count calendar, which they believed would be either the end of the world or an opening of new senses.

I think the Mayans got lazy and stopped making more dates for the calender so they had a joke about what would happen on that day.

Perhaps, rather than running out of space, they came to the conclusion that time would last infinitely long and that there would be no point in actually making the calendar for that time period until they actually got near it. Kind've like how my calendar doesn't include 2154 on it.
