Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

...Yes... It is...
What was said previously was that it's a website that pays for the game for you so you don't have to pay for it.
So, it's giving Notch money, while you don't have to pay for it.
In some cases though, getting it without paying can be illegal, such as pirating the game. And by the way, just by putting on the internet that you pirated a game, and if the police care enough to even know about this forum, then you can very easily get arrested.
True, but two things:
1. Why in the world would a police officer be looking at this while he/she has a job to do?
2. How in the world would the police officer know where we live?
(Sorry for the quote pyramid.)

They can still arrest you(I think). They do something with your IP address or something.

GadgetGeek wrote:You shouldn't be getting it free if Notch decided to put a price on Minecraft. Unless it was some sort of bid, but either way you shouldn't be getting it free. It is also considered Stealing the game if you're getting it for free, and as far as I'm concerned, doing that is illegal.
Its free for me, I didnt have to pay, but the site which I mencioned before will pay it for you.
so its free for you
I don't think you read that post.
If Notch didn't say anything about that survey, it's illegal.
If they find you then why wouldn't they arrest you?
They are not allowed to, by law. Read my other post for more info.
Guys look up Patriot Act. The police can do whatever they want.
I've been wanting a minecraft account and was tempted to use this... but then IO read the other posts. Never going to this site.
I know a lot of guys like Minecraft, but I honestly don't so Minecraft account for me!
[I already bought the game, so ignore me] I know Minecraft isn't hurting in monies, but it would be an act of respect and dignity to buy the game directly.
It probably isn't stealing, just a complex chain of advertising and swapping money until the site can buy your Minecraft account, at the combined expense of other people.
Allow me to explain:
The host shows you ~7.6 million advertisements. They assume someone, somewhere, will buy one of the products.
From that money, let's say $19.99, a small portion goes to the host. Maybe ~$1.00.
Let's say the site rakes in about $20.00/hour. Since they need to keep some for themselves, $10.00/hour.
Let's say they have 1,000 advertisements watched every hour.
This means, every time you watch an advertisement, you earn one penny. You continue this rate of earning until the site can afford to buy you a Minecraft account.
This Minecraft account may or may not be in direct affiliation with Minecraft.net; this means they could buy their accounts from someone else who sells them for a cheaper price. Maybe this site can circumvent the Minecraft.net fees and truly get a free account, keeping all the money for themselves. Who knows?
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.
