Cardboard Boat Races

So every year in my school district the students have a cardboard boat race at my schools pool. I've never done it before but I did for the heck of it with my friends.

We made a cross dressing loch ness monster boat, with tons of cardboard scales. Then we made the some super sexy eyes and added mustache lips! xD

His name is sexy! And our motto is "Bringing sexy back!"

Well anyways my point is, the design was amazing, but unfortunately there were a lot of of holes so the boat sunk about half way across.

BUT! Out of all 35 boats in the district, we won for MOST CREATIVE! Woo!

I won a school backpack, not much but still cool, and I got a certificate saying I won. Really made my day.

Also on a side note... I got an Art Scholarship!

Dude, our school literally does this every single year for physics, and I did it last year o_O

We had to make something like this in boy scouts. Years ago.

We had an hour (or was it 2?), 2 peices of large cardboard, duck tape, and a knife.

Then we figured out the best way to engineer it... then we had a series of races on a lake... Yes... we were in cardboard boats... in a lake (Well its was "on the lake" for a few minutes... then it was "in" the lake XD)
