It's someone who writes a novel. Pretty self-explanatory, and if you don't know, you probably should have looked it up instead of posting something that contributes little to the topic.

I guess I could say my favorite novelist is myself, but to be honest I only wrote one novel and it wasn't even that good. I'll write another one next month.
So I guess I'm going to say either my uncle or *Lizhollow on deviantart.

edit:
also, my favorite published (commercially, not self-published) novelists (you know, authors...) would be Douglas Adams and J.K. Rowling.
