Youth orchestras?

Hey, I was just wondering how many of you guys were musicians out there and if you are in any orchestras outside of school

I'm in one called Contemporary Youth Orchestra.. We play lots of music.. This year we   did cartoons (with film) and premiered 3 pieces.. And we've also played with rock bands like Jefferson starship and Styx.. We also came in first nationally in this contemporary award thingy.

So what about you? What do you play/what are you in?

I am a musician and I mainly play solo at different events arranged by some shady organisations. I play the Ocarina.

Saxophone and Ocarina.
I play the Sax in marching and Concert band. Ocarina is because I needed a hobby and liked OoT.

I play the Violin, and I'm in GNYO, the Greater Newark Youth Orchestra.

Oh, and I can also play the Mandolin, the Kazoo, the Didgeridoo, the vuvuzela, the Sliding Whistle, and the Car Horn.

I play guitar, I consider myself pretty average on it and I have a cover on youtube.

I played that for seven years but two years ago switched to viola.. I still p,ay it tho in my school orchestra cuz we only have like 5 violins

I play the Viola,our school is the Emerson Harper Jr High Orchestra
I also play in the Sacremento Youth Synphony.

viola high five! im not in any orchestras outside of school, but when the school year starts, i plan on an audition into all state orchestra, the best student orchestra members in the state of georgia. 2 people made it in this year from my school. a senior guy made 5th chair bass, and a sophmore girl made 3rd chair viola.

Viola? Tch! Haven't you ever heard a viola joke? Because there are more Viola Jokes than the stars in the sky, and less Violin/Cello jokes than amount of positions a violist knows.
