Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Lolwut? Are you honestly trying to say that the state of Virginia found a way to overrule the entire collective? Federal law always trumps state law, regardless of how much the state whines.

Hm, I didn't know there was a second page, so someone beat me to this. Oh well.

@Nou: LISTEN: The part I was comparing was this:

"That does help China, but does that make it right?"

@Ratburn and Shift: That's...why...it's...a...problem...

Protip : germs don't care if you're rich or poor, black or white. They just want to infect you. Therefore, the less healthcare you have in your country, the more chance to get infected you have. Logic, right ? This is why everybody should have access to healthcare for free.²

This is why everybody should be forced to buy healthcare or pay a tax?

Again:

Works? Yes
Right? No.

Re: The Second American Civil War

It is right because it is good for the people. And people > individual. So individuals have to pay.²
But I'm ultra-leftist so i guess it's a matter of view. Most of the rightists think the individual > people.

EDIT : Btw, revolutions and civil wars happen when people don't have any choice but to change the system. We're far from anything like this.²

@Ravatroll: Yeah. Rightist here.

And no, civil wars and revolutions happen when people want to change the system, not have no choice but to. Did we have to escape British rule? We could have endured it, and the rightists could endure this. Possibility, remember. I don't think it will happen.

Re: The Second American Civil War

The revolutionary war never should have happened. We were paying for a war that had happened to help us; how in the world is that unfair? Not to mention that our taxes were lower than those on the people actually living in England. The revolutionary war was essentially started by old punks who didn't want to pay their fair share and whined about it.

Re: The Second American Civil War

The war happened to help us, yes. Do you think anyone starts a [real] war just for the hell of it?

And it wasn't about the height of the taxes, it was the taxes on goods from foreign companies, and the creation of a monopoly in many goods. (British East India Company, sure you've heard of them). In this way, the prices rose dramatically, and they had to pay much, much more than people in Britain did for those goods. Also, they were being charged other taxes without representation in the British Parliament.   "Taxation without representation." These combined were the cause of the rebellion, not the fact that they had taxes in general.
