Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Really? I just thought he did that as a cover for his rise to power in Republic City
Nah, Tarlaac says that quote. And from his backstory with his father and all, it really does make a whole lot of sense.

Well if he does become good I'm guessing he'll say something like this
"After we end this guy, I'll end you Korra."
Well if he does become good...
Wait, who's "he"?

Amon.
Well the way I see it, Amon better be dead. He was cool and all, but the coming circumstances would ruin him. Now that Korra can fight bloodbending and restore bending abilities, Amon is pretty much powerless against her. He would be a total pushover!
Although it might be interesting for them to create a temporary truce, it would result in a very one-sided battle between them in the end. Let Amon rest in peace, or else his legacy will be destroyed.
Besides, the creators said that at the end of both seasons there will be a very definitive conclusion, meaning the bad guy won't be sticking around.
