Well I can wait, the 2 servers I'm played on are getting ruined possibly. First is BiomeCraft which is switching from survival to factions or shutting down (again) when 1.3 comes out, and RumbleCraft is possibly shutting down forever if the owner doesn't win the charge-back that someone did...

I haven't played it since it restarted (after I was banned), but I've heard it was bad.

The thing about 1.3 I'm going to use on a daily basis is the sideways logs and colored slabs. That is all.

I'm not going to reset my server just for some silly desert pyramids and a couple jungle ruins.

The absence of colored wooden slabs and stairs has been annoying me for quite some time now, so I'm glad that's in.
I can't see a use for sideways logs beyond some decoration, and even then I can't see it looking good at all.

I can't see a use for sideways logs beyond some decoration, and even then I can't see it looking good at all.

There aren't very many blocks that provide horizontal energy. The only few that come to mind are planks, maybe bricks.

Plus, it'll be good for making trees that are sideways, for droppers. And for tree roots on giant trees.
