Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Ahem. 0__0, 0_o.
Imo, this video is a bit childish if we compare it to others. I would like to see the psycho pyro igniting the hell out of the enemy, not some weird flying babies, rainbows and lollipops. I waited so much for this but it just... didn't give me the pleasure i wanted.
And humor:
Meet the soldier- hitting the spy with the shovel- epic
Meet the medic- spy head saying 'kill me' and medic saying 'later'-epic x3
As in the examples, when I watch 'meet the ...' videos, I can't just stop smiling but this was weird childish humor, I felt like I was watching Spongebob or something like that (haters gonna hate).
Actually, TF2 started to become a 'Hat Fortress' and it's fullfilled with 7-8 year old kids right now. This can be the reason. Valve is just trying to please the community of Team Fortress 2 and the community is made of 8 year olds, like I said.
TF2 isn't fun anymore.
Frightening.
I hate tall signatures.

Contrast is often a good source of humor, and this video executes the concept really well. I liked it.

You're playing on the wrong servers. You might also want to try some competitive scrims here.

I loved it. The Pyrovision is cool to! I loved the update, Tf2 is just amazing.

loved it, except for one part. i didn't like how instead of fighting bad guys like in the other videos, pyro is murdering innocents trying to hide from him and not fighting back.
anyways, play here if you want a really good community of people. actually, there's only around 80 members including yours truly, compared to how most communities a few hundred. so join here for some fun on weekend nights, and you might see me.

The idea is that he's so frightening that they can hardly fight back, or perhaps he's already beaten their weapons away or something.

Which is ironic because in the actual game he's considered underpowered by the experienced playerbase.

I also just realized you said "innocents". While I understand that they're definitely portrayed that way, they're pyro's enemies.

I love trolling little kids that are annoying while I play, it gets so funny because everyone joins in and make them ragequit.
I actually love meet the pyro. Like everyone else, I was supprised by how it turned out and couldn't stop laughing about it. Though, they a bit exagerated in it.

Well, i for one loved it, the only thing is i wish it showed some super secret easter eggs and such, like if pyro is a girl or boy, or uhh, idk what else.
Which is ironic because in the actual game he's considered underpowered by the experienced playerbase.
Not too true, I actully make a pretty good killing spree with my Backburner
Maybe the reason he has so little attention from players is because (Before this) he wasan't too cool, you know not having a "Meet the" really didn't give players a reason to play him
I mean let's take the spy before meet the spy I would've NEVER played him but with meet the spy he's in my top playings (Mehehehehehehe)
Totally agree with ChaosDemon.
Before knowing meet the pyro would come out, I never really played with the pyro.
And now, I kill soldiers by airblasting their direct hit rockets.
The only bad luck in the event was when I was gonna buy scorched keys, Mann.co store was down because TF2 was having an update, and the update turned out to be "the end" of pyromania update. W00T, bought 4 crates for no reason at all.
I've never played this game.
I might start playing it now.

I might start playing it now.
Totally should.
I'll add ya if you want.

"... by the experienced playerbase."
Pyro is decent in pubs (public servers) against newer players, but in higher level play your typical Pyro would get whooped. Backburner is only good against bad players because of the latest damage nerf. The only upside is crits from behind which is useless on higher level servers, since a good player should always be aware of his/her backside. Spy is the exception since he has the ability to pick even the most acute players with the right aim and timing (trickstabs, Amby headshots).
Pyro is good in Highlander since he can create chaos with flames and slow down the opposing team. A Homewrecker Pyro also pairs extremely well with an Engy and can ward off projectiles and Spies, which is an Engy's biggest threat. The ability to reflect projectiles also helps defend the Pyro's team from the Demo and Soldier. However, all it takes is for a smart player with a good hitscan weapon at mid-to-long-range to take him out. Still, Highlander Pyro can be pretty powerful.
In 6s Pyro is pretty rare. This article describes the standard competitive lineup as well as what other classes are used occasionally and why they aren't used on a regular basis.
EDIT: Also, sorry if I sound condescending. I'm just super into strategy.

pyro is not considered under-powered. The axtinguisher, reserve shooter, degreaser, third degree and flare gun are all extremely over-powered. The reason why pyro isn't played as in 6v6 is because in most leagues he is banned.
Offline
In what leagues?
ESEA allows for up to 2 Pyros at a time, and the Ax, Degreaser, and Flare Gun are allowed.
UGC allows for up to 2 Pyros at a time, and the Ax, Degreaser, Flare Gun, and Reserve Shooter are allowed.
Those are the two biggest leagues unless I'm having a brainfart.
The reason you don't see many different classes in 6s is because it's dominated by Solly/Demo/Scout/Medic which are best suited for that kind of play. A Pyro's airblast can only keep up with so much projectile spam. Even in a one-on-one situation, a decent Soldier will whip out their shotgun at mid-range. Any Scout at a competitive level of play like ESEA 6s can crush a Pyro easily. Pyro just isn't suited for 6s, and you'll only see a Pyro in 6s as the very rare off-class.
