Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: Lavender Town Syndrome True Or False?!

Pokemon has some serious problems, in the game, and the older shows. One show caused 600 kids to go to the emergency room for seizures, and what not. And I guess that there's a lot of creepy pasta thats based on Lavender Town. Some of is scary sh**.(That's to KrazyMan for inspiring me to watch the gameplay of one of the pastas)And I don't think the suicide story is true...idk.

They had to delete the episode (I saw it and felt nothing). Want me to tell you what happend? Well, they had many colours flashing super fast at some part. I mean, a headache would be acceptable but to go to the emergency... you have to be "no offence for anyone here" weak to have a problem like that.

Same for the sound of the lavender town (thought now, I don't belive it anymore) You need really weak/ pathetic ears to get all crazy about it. Please, don't do like me and try listening to it for 2 hours to try to find [death?]. I had that song in my head for the rest of the day.

You'd be surprised, but many people throughout the world have problems like that with the flashing lights. If you have sensitive eyes, maybe. Something that's too extreme related to senses do that. Maybe the reason you're not hurt is because you saw it coming- not the people watching TV (unless of course you also saw it on TV).
The thing with the music has absolutely nothing to do with the volume or pitch of the music, it's the tune. And I highly doubt people commit suicide over a little song.

There was a banned episode that sent 600 children to hospital because of seizures and since then porygon has been banned from every pokemon episode even though it was pikachu's thunder bolt that caused it in the first place!

Oh, that? That episode hurts my eye literally. And listening to Lavender Town's original theme is rather different than most 8-bits I've heard, it kind of disturbs my ear.

"the original version of pokemon fire red and leaf green"
You are not a true Pokemon fan.
But, anyway

I have not heard about this rumor for a long time.
The facts about Pokemon Red and Green (Japanese of Red and Blue) are kinda true. In Lavender Town, Japan only, it had high frequency... but to hear it and get bad headaches and that crap, you have to be wearing headphones or earbuds and turn up the volume to hear it.
To listen to the theme, here ya go:

I'm pretty sure the suicide part is just a rumor, but you could feel it getting to you at certain parts. I get a light stomachache at some points. I bet the rumors of suicide only occurred due to the fact that Lavender Town was always about death in Generations I and III.

Off topic kind of, I find it funny that the original Jynx had to be recolored to purple instead of pitch black, for racial purposes. Oh the rumors of suicides are quite entertaining. They would've shipped all the games back for reconstructing the par with the music if people went suicide. Just another creepypasta.

Edit:After listing to it, I stopped at 3:12, but my review so far is that 1:01 to 1:06 has that weird frequency change pattern. It's like the part they doesn't have the beat anymore and they just play a a few long notes of scratchy high pitched noises. So does the part near 2:30 I think. Gave me a headache. Plus the way the graphics look that goes with the song freak me out. White colored faces. Wishbthey had better tech back then.

Why would you listen to this song after everything that's clearly wrong about it?

He's saying you're not because you seem to have called Fire Red and Leaf Green the original versions, but those are the newer versions. Just pokemon Red and Green (Japanese originals) were the original ones.

Re: Lavender Town Syndrome True Or False?!

Listened to it on a loop all day, absolutely fine.
Although I've heard other myths about Red and Green that when you walk into the grass right at the beginning [before you have a pokemon] that a screen appears

"Come follow me, come follow me, come follow me. I miss you dad, I miss you my husband, I miss you so much."

followed by

"Come follow me, become new again. We want to see you and hold you, and be with you forever and ever and ever and ever."
"AND EVER AND EVER..."

finally ends with
"Don't stay away. You can see us too.. We miss you.. Come follow me. We love yo--"

cutting off onto a black screen then returning to the game. This is also untrue but a very strange story, saying that on the days that followed the release of the game a huge spike in suicides and self-hurting-acts occurred.

That's exactly what I meant I meant the Japanese versions not the changed versions.

Also I only made this post to see what other peoples veiws on this were that's all
