Yeees, I love MLP! Nice too see other bronies in the EE community!

Been following the show since a few months back. It's been an interesting ride too see the shows popularity increased enormously on the internet since the first episode aired. And how close contact the fans of the show have had with everything from animators to Lauren herself.

And unlike what a few people I've met on other forums seem to think, the fandom did not start out as a joke, or that the people on 4chan watched it ironically. /co/ were just positively surprised that the show was actually good, and not just 22 min long commercials for the toys. In reality, MLP:FiM turned into The Hubs greatest success so far.

Here is a great article about the fans of the show, called "bronies". Lauren (the creator of the show) did a mention of the fan culture of bronies in a promotional video of the show. That's one of the interesting strengths of the show, that the people behind it actually take part in the internet fandom of it. Just look at this: one of the animators on Youtube and Lauren lurking on /co/.

To be honest, I think that there is a lot more 20+ guys watching this show than little girls. Unlike what it might seem like when you first hear about "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". Read the article I posted above!

Also, the OP should have linked angrytigerPs version, instead of embedding MenloMarseilles versions. The only decent thing about his is that there is no watermark, which does not really make it up for the lack of >720p. AngrytigerPs have watermarks, but they're not really noticeable unless you pay attention to them. I'd say you need at least 720p to enjoy the ponies to the fullest, and this is comming from someone who haven't quite jumped on the "OMFG, HD EVERYTHING" bandwagon yet.

Designed like good old fashioned cartoons: Character set, general goal, new plot each episode, problem, needs to be resolved, is resolved because of some obscure thing, end of ep and nothing really changes.

My favourite part is probably when in Pinkie Pie looses it in Party For one. Or Flutterguy singing Pinkie Pies song in Bridle Gossip.

Or any scene with Rainbow Dash in it, really. That automatically equals awesomeess.

I've been interested in watching the series since the MLP threads started up on /b/, but they removed the YT links from the copypasta before I got a chance to. When I get into a house with a dependable computer (i.e. one with a good keyboard that won't get taken from me all the time).
