Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

So, how many of you have heard of Repo! The Genetic Opera? Anyone?
Long story short, it's a 2008 movie that's considered a cult film.
It's pretty goddamn awesome. And I haven't actually seen it but it's one of those things that you know is awesome despite knowing little about it. Like Portal before I actually played it.
It's rock-horror and just pretty amazing. Period. see, here's a song from it. WOAH.
Okay. Well, Repo! isn't what this topic is about. Really.
The director of Repo! is creating a new movie that's about 55 minutes long. (It should be noted that the director is the same person who created Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV)
It's called The Devil's Carnival. I hope you guessed that from the topic title.
Here's an article about it. That article has a trailer, so you should watch that. Also, the full trailer comes out on my birthday, isn't that just fantastic? Damn right it is.
Also, if you don't think that it's awesome enough, perhaps I should tell you about three lovely ladies who are in it.
Emilie Autumn. I've namedropped her a few times in some topics, with most people disliking her music/her voice/her appearance. She's how I discovered TDC.
At her concerts, she has three girls with her. The Bloody Crumpets.
Captain Maggots and Contessa (who are credited in that trailer) are in The Devil's Carnival. Captain Maggots introduces Emilie Autumn, Veronica Varlow (Who isn't in The Devil's Carnival), and Contessa.
So not only is the guy who directed 3 of the Saw movies directing it, it also has a singer from slipknot, Emilie Autumn, A pirate, and Contessa.
Needless to say, this is probably the best thing happening this year. You should definitely at least check it out.
tl;dr: Guy who directed 3 Saw movies and Repo! The Genetic Opera has another movie coming out.
What do you guys think?

Hello, hello, I've returned once again. Yes, I'm double posting and gravedigging but I assure you this is worth it.
So I mentioned the full trailer coming out on my birthday, but it didn't due to some problems or something but it's out now so that's why I'm updating this topic.
They have a road tour going on with 35 separate events across a plethora of states.
So here's the trailer, and my god it looks awesome.

here
Oh, man, I might have actually forgotten the original trailer that wasn't just Emilie Autumn flaunting her...posterior in the original post.
So here it is. Catchy.
And also, here's a few more articles:
Movieweb
Moviefone
Here's a list of people in it, since I thought you might enjoy it for some odd reason:
Sean Patrick Flanery
Briana Evigan
Jessica Lowndes
Dayton Callie
Paul Sorvino
Alexa Vega
J. LaRose
Bill Moseley
Emilie Autumn
Nivek Ogre
Marc Senter
Terrance Zdunich
Mighty Mike Murga
Shawn Crahan
Ivan L. Moody
Tillman Norsworthy
Hannah Wagner
Maggie "Captain Maggots" Lally
Beth "Contessa" Hinderliter
So it pretty much is a whole bucketload of awesomeness, because it has people from Goodfellas, 90210, Slipknot, Repo! (of course) so if you still aren't going to reply to this topic, shame on you.
And also, apparently there's going to be more 'episodes' -- so I guess it's a series of short films.
Discuss, damnit.

Back again, and still no one's replied. It premiered in LA yesterday.
There's only been a few stops on the Road Tour, but there's plenty more throughout the month... and I really want to go see it but that's another story.
Okay, so, to be honest, if you have any real reason to watch it, it's because Terrance Zdunich is in it. He wrote the screenplay for both The Devil's Carnival AND REPO! and he was the Graverobber in REPO! and he's Lucifer in The Devil's Carnival. And let me say, dear god he is...a BAMF. Full stop. I might be a little obsessed. (but who wouldn't be?)
Also, here's a video showing one of the songs. Yes, that red guy is Zdunich.

x
And the soundtrack was released on Amazon and iTunes, and wow, I was wondering how it got even better. But it did.

soundtrack trailer
Here's the soundtrack.
And again on iTunes (Apologies if iTunes doesn't work)
Also, Hannah Minx is in it and I had no idea who she is, but she has a lovely pair of...well, see for yourself.
I feel as though I shouldn't embed this video...
She annoys me to be honest. See it for her, if not for anyone else. Even though she's just a woe maiden.
VIP tickets are $40+ and in limited supply, but just the ticket for the screening is $20, and with a poster is $30. There's few VIP tickets and I'm going to try my damnedest to go. You should go. Let's all go.
I'll stop spamming this thread if someone at least replies.

It's my job to dig... and reply... on GRAAAAAAAAAAAAVEESSSSSS!!!!
Okay, so, I just finished watching REPO! The Genetic Opera for the first time today. Then, I got on Tumblr where I was informed that there is, indeed, a second tour.
The Devil/Graverobber (that was stupid but so, so, worth it) surely is looking down upon me today, and saying, 'YES, HAVE ALL THE FEELS.'
But yeah, I highly recommend seeing both films. The Devil's Carnival has several people from Repo! The Genetic Opera, and I can't even begin to explain how much I am officially in love with that film.
The Encore tour starts off across the street from Comic-con on the fifteenth of July, and then goes to thirteen -- how fitting -- different cities. Including two that are in my state, and one that's sort of close by.
Here's the list:
July 19: Jersey City, N.J.
July 20: Hartford, Conn.
July 21: Boston
July 22: Montreal
July 24: New Orleans
July 25: Jackson, Miss.
July 26: Memphis
July 27: Tulsa, Okla.
July 28: Springfield, Mo.
July 30: St. Louis, Mo.
July 31: Indianapolis
Aug. 1: Columbus, Ohio
Aug. 2: Cleveland
Aug. 3: Jackson, Miss.
Aug. 4: Madison, Wis.
Aug. 5: Minneapolis
Aug. 7: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Aug. 9: Boise, Idaho
Aug. 10: Reno, Nev.
Aug. 11: San Francisco
Aug. 12: San Luis Obispo, Calif.
----
So there you are.
Also, since people have actually seen the film, we've got some reviews for you:
You're
in The
Devil's!
Carnival!
Come one, come two, come you!
The Devil's Carnival! You can't help but fall... The Devil's Carnival!
It should be noted that I bought the soundtrack and it's absolutely heavenly hellish in the best way possible.
It's absolutely brilliant. These groups of people are just brilliant.
I'm going to go this time come heaven or high waters.
And just a sidenote: Terrance Zdunich also has a comic called the Molting that looks pretty good.
And Emilie Autumn's new album comes out July 24th.
So this is probably going to be a very good year for me.
Edit:
Also, here's an encore tour trailer:
It's not a movie. It's an experience.

I had no clue about this until I read your tumblr, doesn't interest me.
Looks boring
maybe because movies bore me
>Bill Mosley.
Darn it Zoey, now I have to see this.
I thought I'd mention this since this is as good a time as any:
I didn't see The Devil's Carnival in August, much to my dismay!
But never fear, because I have a plethora of articles and other great news to make this worth another post.
I was kidding about articles, but I went and found a good one anyway.
x
This confirms the already confirmed fact that there will be a sequel. It's already been written. I knew this.
But here, have the best news of all:
The DVD is going to be released October 23 at Hot Topic with the extended soundtrack. There's a pre-order for the Ringmaster's dvd (which I've preordered), and it'll be great.
x
And here's a few videos regarding the dvd:

Bam! Narrated by Terrance!

Emilie Autumn and Marc Senter telling you to buy the DVD in a slightly awkward way.
And there was also one with Hannah Minx but it's been privated, probably due to all the comments about boobs.
Edit: Repo! Reunion Promo video.

And also a livestream chat with Terrance Zdunich (co-writer, Lucifer) and Darren Bousman (director) brought to you by Inside Horror: link (starts around 32:03)
