First of all the world is not going to end on...what is it? the 21st of December [Google searched >_>]
What your hearing is complete rubbish. At school [I'm in Year 7 AKA: Secondary] people even at the age of 12+ are believing this. Most people didn't make this up but they heard from people spreading the word. They're just trying to scare you and make you feel uncomfortable, some people think they have to do bad thing's or do something that they don't usually do just because the world is ending.
Enough said.
