Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

How can I block a website using Google Chrome? I tried using Google, but everything confused me. It seems that almost every time I click something, this damn Pogo.com keeps popping up, and it's really getting on my nerves. I've tried getting rid of the cookies, and all sorts of other options, but nothing is working. The person who can help me solve this, in a way that I can understand, I'll give a + rep to. Thank you to anybody who tries to help.

If you block Pogo or any website, you'll probably get a screen saying that it's blocked in everything you enter, so it'll be annoying. I never saw the feature of blocking a website being on Chrome itself, so I think you'll have to use an extension - this should work.
But if Pogo.com comes up as a new window, you can use a pop-up blocker like this.
If you want to actually get rid of that, you'll have to tackle it by its source and seems it edits something in the system files. Somewhat hard to do that, I don't know.

Sounds like you have malware.
Yeah, a long time ago, my mom had my uncle work on it, because we had a virus, and our computer hasn't quite worked right since.
EDIT: That program... it keeps coming up, but it's blocked, so something still pops up. I don't know if it'll help, but Chrome is having a sync error, and the "pass phrase" thing, isn't seeming to work at all....

I had the exactly same problem, but with a Goodgame Empire ad.
I was also tired of it, and I installed a website blocker add-on, and I never had problems since then.
...Actually, after a few days (I think), it started to pop up another website, but I can't remember what website was... But I did the same thing, and I never had problems since then.
(I use Firefox)
EDIT: I don't know if the website blocker really works, since I also got some pages saying that I was trying to access a website in my blacklist, but I only received 2 or 3 of them, after a while I stopped receiving them. So I don't know if I did something not related to the add-on I installed that stopped the pop-ups or the website blocker did it itself.

okay, So I've edited the host file (bass5098's advice), and the website I want to block has been put on. Now I can't save it, what do I do?
EDIT: Figured it out, turns out, you have to go into your host file in your computer, and do it yourself. I want to thank BASS5098 for helping me out, ingame.
EDIT2: It just tried coming up again >.< fml

Azure is right, sounds like something got on your computer that's doing this to you. You should focus on getting rid of it rather than just blocking it every time it tries to come up.
I suggest downloading Malwarebytes and running a scan to see if it finds anything. It's an excellent program and it's basically* free: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
*I say basically because it is a trial, but once it runs out, you can still use almost everything it offers.
You can also try looking around in the folder AppData for anything that clearly does not belong. This folder is where most viruses and such are hidden. The folder itself is probably hidden, so just do a search for it.
Finally, get an antivirus, antispyware, and firewall. There are tons of really good free programs that you can get if you don't have anything.
Malwarebytes doesn't show as HTTP, which means it's not necessarily secure, and I'm not downloading something that I'm not sure is secure. Also, nothing in APPDATA has been modified since December of last year.... this started yesterday.

Malwarebytes is actually a very well known program. I'm sure that you could easily find reviews on it if you searched around.
As for malwarebytes.com not necessarily being secure, that is because they host the download offsite on cnet.com. Cnet too is a very well known software website. They review practically everything technology and are a news source for the tech world. Here is the link to the cnet article, user reviews, and download if you want to try it: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-A … 04572.html
Besides this, I'm afraid that I can't help you.
