Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

As the title says, what games are you looking forward to seeing in 2013? It can be one that has a release date, or one that could be pure fiction.
As for me it goes like this;
1. Super Smash Bros 4
Either it's the rumors or the fact that I've liked every past one and still play them today, I look forward to this game the most. Rumors are certainly enticing. One of my favorite that will effect the game visually is skins. Saying that instead of "clone" characters of Mario *cough* Dr. Mario* happening, it will be a skin. So Mario could have a skin of him as Dr. Mario with a "re-skinned" move-set of his fireballs being pills, ect. Other skins could be Paper Mario or some sort of hat he obtains that changes his look from Mario Galaxy. Kirby as epic yarn kirby. So many possibilities. Another visual rumor that could have been very neat is visible battle damage. While the images don't look real to me, it sure seems like a cool addition. But now for the real thing that gets me. Characters and stages. In brawl there was found data that was scrapped for characters that seem likely to maybe get in the next one;
"dixie" (donkey kong games)
"dr_mario"
"mewtwo"
"roy"
"Pra_Mai" (mii)
"toon_sheik"
"toon_zelda"
And not only those but, for me, I'd like to see another fire emblem character or skull kid. I don't have much I'd like to see for stages but they are always cool to see, except that darn super mario bros stage. Curses turtles!
2. Fire Emblem: Awakening
This could be the ONLY reason why I decide to buy a 3DS. I've always been a fire emblem fan and this just looks fun. You know I really want it because I loathe handheld systems, but still think this game will be the best fire emblem game. Not much to be said other than watch the trailer and read about ithere. The idea of creating my own character was something I always wanted to see and experiment with. The map system from Sacred Stones was something I liked and it's being put back into the series. New classes, characters, and I think a new continent, could be fun.
3. Pikmin 3
Pikmin, oh pikmin. These suicide little bug things were always fun to play with. New pikmin in pikmin 3 seem fun, new puzzles, and a wide variety new places to explore. I don't have much information on this but here is the trailer.
So, what are yours?

Yeah, SSB4 should totally have visible damage. Just imagine what a kid will think when he sees a bloody pikachu being punched by captain falcon with his intestines falling out.
I'm mostly looking forward to Everybody Edits 2 : A lame ripoff of a sort-of-popular flash game involving smileys made and produced by Arceus64.
I Spy: 2013 Edition (ft. Mum, "Ford" and Son)

I heard about a possible SSB4. What do you mean by visible damage? Blood? because the characters are dolls/trophies. They don't have blood. Also, it's Nintendo.
For Brawl I would have liked to see Eirika, I think, from FE8, instead of Ike. There are enough male characters anyway.
Pikmin 3, yes. Pikmin 2 was a lot of fun for me. The first was too frustrating. Even if I made good progress I just hate being timed. Unlimited days was better.
Oh that game being made by the lying traitor from Terraria. I still have a grudge on him from lying to me directly in a private message.
I don't think I could handle playing SSB without a Gamecube controller. No thanks.
Also, "[Sakurai stated] neither the 3DS game nor the Wii U game would simply be sequels like Melee and Brawl were, and that they'd do more than just add characters and stages, [and] that the new game is unlikely to emphasize new playable characters, focusing instead on gameplay balance and distinctiveness of its characters." (source)
What I've always valued in Brawl over Melee is the new stages and characters. You can balance a game and add stuff too. If I had to pick one potential thing to look forward to in a SSB sequel it'd be a myriad of new characters.
But whatever, I wasn't going to buy a Wii U anyway. It's just a giant DS but where one screen is 5 feet away from you. I won't be paying over $300 for the next-gen system in a line of increasingly gimmicky and pricey Nintendo consoles. And to think the Wii U is supposed to reclaim Nintendo's "core" gamers. Lol. No. Give us a normal controller. I don't want a giant controller wrapped around an iPad. While there is a Wii U Controller Pro (a more standard gaming controller) you can spend some more money on, most games will be designed around the ugly tablet controller. No thanks. Nintendo lost touch with their core gamer crowd a while ago with the gimmicky nature of the Wii. If they think another gimmick will draw that crowd back, they're wrong.

I'm hoping they add a GC controller thing that can plug into the wii mote or something.
Classic controller pro is somewhat OK, and I haven't tried the wii u pro controller, but I would much rather prefer gamecube controller.
For visual damage I think it may be more damage to outfits, like Metaknight losing his mask or a cape being damaged/torn.

They removed a lot of things that Melee had that made it more competitive, to make it more possible for players to win in brawl even if they had less skill. I think quality over quantity, but a few new characters I think are expected from people.
This will probably never happen but I would love to play as King Bob-omb.

Visible damage, look at the link. click the spoilers in that first post. Shows scratches on meta knight's mask. Regarding to Eirika, I'd rather not see that pile of poo who wasted 20 hours of my life in super smash bros. Sorry, rough time with sacred stones, final boss, didnt save before second part of it, got lucky with killing leon with myrrh with critical, only had 1 use of dragonstone, then one minion 1 shots Eirika with a 23 hit chance and a 15 critical. Tried beating it again, but nope, had to restart. I'm biased . Anyway they'd probably go with someone newer, and I'd like to see someone in it as a different class, like Micaiah or Sothe. (Which I think sothe could be B.A.) Micaiah would address your male character problem, and a mage would be cool, maybe a slight healing power? Or a FE antagonist, black knight? Whatever.
Totally agree with your opinion on pikmin 1, ragey times then.

This, to me, is still exciting. Brawl "campaign" was fun, but It could've been a lot better. Fighting methods seems like it'll make it a lot more fun, and maybe even skill-based because people who made Tekken are helping on it. But Yes, it'll still be the fun party, cartoon game everyone loves. And new characters is a must, even if its 3 characters. I'm expecting 3-5 new ones.
King Bob-omb.
Sounds like a more fun way to suicide than bowser.

Have you seen little kid cartoon violence? It would never have blood, it would be like rips in clothing, scratches, or like a bruise type of deal.

It's supposed to be a joke.

If he were to lose his mask, I would send a genuine thank you letter to the publisher and developer.
SSB4 is confirmed, though no date yet. The guy who's making it said that he thinks that it's important to keep the game Nintendo-centric, so the 3rd-party characters will be at a minimum which I appreciate. What I'm hoping is that they make the spear a sort of class, like swords already are. They can have Ephraim, Waddle Dee and a lance-user in LoZ. Pikmin 3 I can't wait for.

Machine For Pigs and Pokemon X/Y so far. And also a game called The Last of Us, I suppose.

I can't wait for the new Modern Warfare. Always better than the people who make the other section of Call of Duty - Black ops. There just better at those tiny little details. When you were going to prestige but chickened out on the last warning stage it would make chicken sounds. Heh heh.
Also, I'm hoping for a good Legend of Zelda game. Hopefully it will be for a normal Wii and not a Wii U.

I think they should add more fire emblem characters all together. It's one of their main games among legend of zelda, metroid, mario, legend of zelda and pokemon. LoZ has about all it's main characters, other than toon. Metroid, well, could use a few enemies from it or something. Mario, theres already a ton of those, pokemon is hard to do other than change up the pokemon used. (which I think it'd be cool to have skins for each generation of pokemon starters). Fire emblem seems really lacking for its popularity and wide array of characters, not to mention like what you said, both have a sword.
Why am I so ranty about this. need to stoppppp.
Pokemon X/Y
As much as I wanted to put this, I sat and thought. If I wanted to have a pokemon experience again, I could just play the games again of older generations. There are a lot of them as it is, and they are all fun. Just seems like I've thrown a lot of money at pokemon and feel something special needs to be added that is not 3D. Or game ruining.

Woah, Nintendo's still a thing? I guess if a new super smash bros came out for the wii I'd have to dust the thing off and give it another go, but otherwise I see no point.
Um, I don't really look into future video games, so I'll be very generic: the decent generation of kinect games. No more of those crappy sports simulators; I want a full fledged game! The Fable one doesn't count.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, if I change my mind about PCs and buy a PS3 next year. Even if no it looks nice. [/omgfanboy]

Nah, it'll be 3DS/Wii U only. Console gaming has started to seem very expensive since I got into cheap PC gaming. The systems and the games just keep getting more expensive, whereas the PC indie scene is flourishing. $10 games 5eva.

It will obviously be for the Wii U, they will bring out popular games so people are convinced to buy it, Nintendo: "Hm we can make some fans happy by making the game worse, or we can make the game better by putting it on our new console and stay loyal to our fans who paid money and expect us to bring it out on the Wii U.
I think I changed tenses a few times in there.
Grand Theft Auto V
Battlefield 4
Tomb Raider
Simcity

It's going to be released on my birthday, May 7th!
EDIT: Nooooooooo, I forgot that I was saving my 900th post for something else...
