Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Weirdest Pokemon-Move combinations

Alright. So, throughout the entire Pokemon series, there have been scores of pokemon with weird moves that don't fit their figure at all. For instance,

Feel free to share here the most nonsensical moves ever learned by any one of your pokemon.

Re: Weirdest Pokemon-Move combinations

Nidoking can learn anything. That's why I think it's one of the best; you can choose almost any 4 types to have moves for, thus making it have super-effective hits against a lot of different types.

Lickilicky can use Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Surf, Dragon Tail, and Earthquake. I didn't expect that from him/her...

Re: Weirdest Pokemon-Move combinations

Im sure this dosen't count but why is Vibrava a Dragon type but CHARIZARD the pokemon with the wings and the fire breath, isn't?
Also on this topic, Gyarados is flying type yet he learns no flying moves...... Why? //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/mad

Incorrect!
Gyarados has Bounce.
It is a Physical flying move with 85 BP and 30% of paralysis
It is similar to fly, dig and dive, making them invulnerable for one turn (specific moves may hit).

Vibrava is a dragon, as it is a dragonfly. Need I say more?

Oh, and Charizard can learn dragon pulse, dragon breath, dragon rage and dragon claw, but needless to say, it would have been too over-powered to be a dragon type, coming from a starter.

Bidoof can use surf, as it is a beaver...
And it evolves into Bibarel, and that is a normal/water type.

Re: Weirdest Pokemon-Move combinations

Can't Gyarados also learn Gust? And Fire Storm and Thunder too. Lol.

Also, side note: Lvl 1 Starly with Focus Band, Endeavor, and Quick Attack. I think you can figure out the rest.

Gyarados can not learn gust, Hidden power Flying and Bounce are it's only flying moves.
There is no such move as "Fire Storm"
It can however use Thunder and Fire Blast, however, the special attack stat is... lets just say, lacking.

The old FEAR set for starly. Focus sash is better than focus band.
Aron does this so much better, with sandstorm. (Sturdy, shell bell, endeavor) Ko's anything that is affected by sandstorm, and recovers back to full due to shellbell recovering 1/16th of the damage dealt.
It is easily dealt with combo moves and priority.

You are correct.
The only type that didn't have a GI pokemon for it was Dark, the first Dark pokemon was in II (Umbreon). I believe Bite was the only Dark move (if I'm wrong go ahead and prove me wrong).

The Magnemite and Magneton dou were the only two Steel types from GI (though Steel was their secondary type)

Bite was not the only dark move in GSC,
Beat-up, Crunch, faint attack, bite, pursuit and theif(?) were the dark moves.

No, Steelix was also a steel type in GSC.
