Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

i just want to point out,
when i was little and i heard swearing (either in movies chating real life etc)
i didnt even notice it un less my parents said dot say that
and even then i didnt remember that stuff until it happened again later
AND... around 5th grade kids cuss as much as high schoolers so i dont see the problem
hmm i thinck its pointless to make a parent control,
look to runescape, dofus (www.dofus.com), and all the other online games, like Wow where is there the parent control
i thinck what importent is to make a ban funktion and more mods who ban idiots

maybe just provied some crucial part of credit card information, along with identity and maybe paypal, but not all identification or credit card + no charge?
What if you were to start with 200 points (like the energy) but you gotta pay 50 points for half the day and 100 points for the whole day. (the timer is same as energy. And swearing is a ban for 5 minutes while each 3rd time you swear the cost of the chat will be higher.

This could even work on an honers system, people report it swears, then the mods can gauge how many points the person should get('oh, ****, I fell' would get less warning than 'you ***ing loser!!!').Also, restrict use of god mode while banned, give ~50 warning for trolling, and you'll get rid of most trolls simultaneously.
I like this idea. Though it world require a very extensive library of swear words and all variations of it.
I'm sure many of us on EE can suply these words.
Thank you eleizibeth ^
I stack my signatures rather than delete them so I don't lose them

wait............. we dont have that kind of money some of us live in Philippines ITS TOTTALY UNFAIR!
1) IKR?
and
C) Use Imgur for the sig.
Works perfectly.
Why don't we just make ityou have to type five cuss words into a box. That way either your old enough or are asking your parents
my quote system was not working so im just gonna say it. This was to rpgmaster2000 about the "library for swering" you could just use the urban dictionary............. just saying
automatic warning? (the really bad words)

Give 100 point warning for false reports.
Also, making this game 13+ is a horrible idea, EE would lose >50% of its users.
Making the game 13+ is a great idea, more there will be more mature players.
but the downside is many of ee's players are younger than that so many players will be lost.

yeah its a good idea but ee will lose alot of players.
ee can be fun even without many players but having more people
isn't bad, unless they have chat and aren't mature with it.
the problem seems to be the shared accounts
but i think you sould get taken out of ee when someone else logs in through a different ip adress should fix that.
god mode O.O whoa

I have a solution! You can make it so when someone swears, it wont send and give them a warning. If they swear again within that 24 hours, it will ban them for 3 days. If this happens again, ban them for 3 weeks and reset their energy. For example, someone has 7500/8000 for a great world, and 980/1000 for the newsletter smiley, reset to 0/1000 and 0/8000. But don't remove what they already bought. If they do it again, ban for a month and reset max energy to 200 and never get magic coins except wizzards and the witch and reset all things to 0. If they do it again. all of the above and reset EVERYTHING they bought and ban for 2 months. If done again, IP ban them! I hope you do something like this so chat is profanity free and clean and free! *no profanity because it wont send messages. I am only 12 and was eating a slice of pie when this idea came... PIE ROCKS!!!:D Thanks because I know you will do this if you are cool like this guy --->
Don't be like him though------------------------------------------------------------------------->:(
(As number0987654321 said) You have to figure out a way so that you can take away bad word so if they a bad word then when they click enter it will not let them and to let them know that it should pop-up and say bad words aren't allowed. For people that bought beta or paid for chat 0.01 cent then if they swear it doesn't matter because they paid for chat verification. So we know that they are able old enough or there parent's are letting there kid's into a real world. But I wouldn't like the warning though because maybe his brother or someone else could just swear and get them banned.

So you can guess I'm not very fond of this system.
I'l give it a shot:
Ask for the birth date first. If the person is under 15 (or whatever age you want it to be), they'll have to enable chat with the 1 cent method. If they say they're older, give a simple mathematical equation that should be common sense for people over 15, but which looks like gibberish to kids. If they can't solve it, they'll have to enable with the 1 cent method again.
This isn't really the same as a simple quiz, as the answer is impossible to look up on the internet. And to be able to solve it, they'd need to learn the basics first. Also, make clear on the page with the equation it's to verify age / enable chat, in case they ask the parents to solve it.
I have been accelerated a few grades, I am in 10th grade Geometry, Almost any equation I can solve, not to brag. Any child under 15 can always put the problem into Yahoo answers.
I do have a plan. You either have free or elite chat. free chatters can only say pre-established lines, like I don't have elite, yes, no, hi, this is fun, this is hard, etc. Elite Chatters can type/say anything. Anything Elite chatters say is hidden from free chatters, but elite chatters can see other elite chats and free chats. You have to pay $0.01 to become an elite chatter.
What I just said forget about I just though of it, and I think what your trying to do is a pretty good idea, and anyway even if the brother get's him banned the child will probably tell his parent/guardian that what he did, and he would get punished.

making people pay is good idea
but
i have idea:
to verify:
1.click verify chat
2.make them agree to some rules that if broken will get warned and later banned
3a.make a pass word
3b.enter VALID e-mail address
4.they get sent a e-mail and if not valid not sent
5.e-mail says *verify chat* button click and then...
6.it says enter age
7.you enter and...
8.XX and up get chat
how to tell fake:9.make them give the list of rules there were
10.if they know the cut/copy trick make them send e-mail
11.if sent they get chat
i think this'll work cause parents check e-mail a lot and they would see chat e-mail
they would see and could disable by sending e-mail saying disable chat what-so-ever
and thats it.

Does any one have an idea why they ban people for shared accounts?
I think a point system could work, where 100 points disabled chat, and you lose 1 point a day some works like crap or damn could be 1-2 points, more offensive ones like **** and such would be 5-10, and racial and otherwise 'offensive' words could be 20-50 points.
Great idea, but new swears and/or insults appear all of the time. It would work if a person continually looks out for new swears/insults, and adds them to the list. Also, you can't make the list public for anyone to edit, because some idiot would add a common word, like 'and'.
And how would you manage to make a troll detector? Perhaps it could be done if somebody makes too many blocks in a large area, very fast (this would also get rid of many bots).
And with the sheer amount of chats going on, you would need a lot of mods to judge all the swears.
