Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Auspicious post numbers

I said I would do this, and I stick to my word. Auspicious post numbers. Feel free to comment with amendments.

Very special

A rating of Very Special denotes a number with great meaning and seriousness. These are numbers without a meaning attached, but more like a major milestone.

100
1000
10000 (I doubt anyone but mods has that)
5000
2500
500
250
750
2000

Special

A rating of Special denotes a well-known number, but not quite a milestone. Occasionally some will fluctuate.

1337
777
666
711
911 (or your local police code, but be sure to explain)
2013 (or the current year)
9001 (it's over 9000)

Meh.

A rating of Meh indicates a relatively special number, i.e. one that is a multiple of 100 or one you don't really want to point out.

420
200
300
400
500
600
700
800
900
222
333
444
555
888
999
111
(your area code or your country code)

Lies! See the My Hill thread for more detail. pFhcd.png

And why are you missing all the special ones? WevBh.png

You know, you should make the Very Special ones called Milestones instead. Special can stay.

I forgot to finish. Accidentally hit Enter while clicked out, then had to go to bed.

So is (bagger) 288.

See, I am not really editing the first post here. I want the comment thread to be edits, amendments, and additions to it.

Re: Auspicious post numbers

I think 8001 should be added as it was the original number that was said in the manga.

I find 1234 very important, as well as 9999

Re: Auspicious post numbers

I consider 2070 a milestone, and that's actually my next post.

special note: I didn't know this was what I was going to do to celebrate, though.

Re: Auspicious post numbers

DO IT.

I guess 3232 was cool, but I only saw it for ten seconds or so because I posted right after.   Almost at five thousand now.

How is post count conducive to success or an indicator of future success?   The word 'auspicious' doesn't make sense here.

Is it because you can't have 0176 posts? I would consider 176 to fit that void.

What about 311?   (They are a band, if you've been living underneath a rock)

You don't have to have lived under a rock not to hear of a band that peaked in 1995.

Actually, it's just a low post-count that the internet helped exist, and has inappropriate meanings.

The Internet has nothing to do with 69, son.

No it isn't.   Just because an author used it in a book that you like doesn't make it worth jack.

I'm about to hit five thousand, does that count for anything?

My local police code is 000... so I guess it's impossible?
