American Idol

American Idol Season 12, BABY! Talk about who you think should win, or anything else related to this season or the show.

If you're not from America/Canada, you probably haven't seen the show, but I'm not going to exclude you so post your opinion on whatever musical competition you have on TV. Musik-och Dansprogram or something.

I want Charlie Askew to win. His voice... is gorgeous and powerful. 1:43, 2:28. Every time I hear this video I get the chills.

If he doesn't win this season I'm totally going to be stalking him and his musical career. And he wins the best outro in the history of American Idol, hands down.

Please don't think my post has any sarcasm in it, please.

American Idol and other shows of the same or similar theme are fantastic ways of finding talented people, talented people who have amazing personalities. And these shows do not humiliate people at all. I honestly can't think of a better way of finding pure talent. Even the songs they sing are great!

That show got really boring and cheesy a while ago. While some of the singers are actually pretty good (one contestant who got far in season 10 is from my neighborhood!), I lost interest.

Also, it's mainsteam, trash, and I hate Nicki Minaj. kthnxbai

Wait a second this show still exists?
It's a great show and all, I got my entertainment's worth out of it, but I thought all those other duplicates would have just smothered American Idol out of existence.
Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

I understand you in a sense, because the parts where they just show people practicing and talking about whatever is just fluff. But the actual performances (after the auditions) are so diverse and interesting. I simply can't comprehend someone saying it's boring/cheesy.

I understand you in a sense, because the parts where they just show people practicing and talking about whatever is just fluff. But the actual performances (after the auditions) are so diverse and interesting. I simply can't comprehend someone saying it's boring/cheesy.

The real performances arent cheesy. Everything else is.

I like American Idol, I just wish that the talent was a bit better the last couple seasons. The winners were decent, like Phillip Phillips and Scotty Mcreary or however you spell his last name. I just haven't found a 'close' finale in a while. I liked the show a lot better a few years back. But that's just me.

I think this season there are a few people with talented voices, but I don't see any massive standouts. I really don't like any of the guys, alot of the girls are good though imo.

As for the judges, Nicki Minaj is annoying and all that but I've never seen the judges as that relavent so....

I also don't like Charlie Askew, sorry

American Idol keeps me awake at night, because my father's girlfriend watches it -- loudly, with her bedroom door open -- and I swear to god the theme music haunts my nightmares.

I don't like it, it's stupid, and shows how crappy the taste of mainstream America is. And all I can say is that that Charlie Askew deserves better than American Idol, because I'll admit it, he had me at socially awkward. I'm still not going to follow the show, though. He's a good kid. Aspiring musicians shouldn't get on American Idol, though, because it's a waste of talent.

Also, what the hell? Nicki Minaj?

That's how I felt with BG's got talent, when there was like 4 people left who all were singing, I really wanted Ronan parke to win, but he came second. I got so angry. I don't know why he didn't he win, he has an amazing voice and still does. now his voice has matured.
