Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Cupcakes vs Cakes

If you take a regular old cupcake and make it bigger and bigger, does it's status of a "cupcake" stay no matter how big it is or does it ever reach a point where it becomes a cake instead of a cupcake, and if so, at what point does it become a cake?

Re: Cupcakes vs Cakes

i think the cup in cupcake implies that it is small. A bigger cupcake is indeed a cake

Simple logic good sir!
If it is wrapped in a paper/cardboard cup (Yea.. cardboard. *mind blown*), even though how big it is, it is a cupcake. If you have a cake that's as big as my fist , but no cup... well sir... ITS A CAKE.
No size matters. Its the cup.
Thanks for your time. (I have no idea if this is true please don't sue me.)

Re: Cupcakes vs Cakes

What about muffins? They ruin both of your theories.

Re: Cupcakes vs Cakes

Muffins is a different species silly. But they are related by some DNA! (YEA. DNA. *brain explosion*)
That goes into a whole other type of cooking technology.

When I saw the title, I thought this was asking which one was better.

Well, this widley known debate has been discussed by scientists for centuries. The data analysis has draw to the conclusions that in order for a cupcake to be classified as a cupcake, it is required to have a muffin top with frosting on the muffin top, but no where else. On a cake, there can be frosting on the side, and there is a lack of muffin top. So therefore a cake cannot be classified as a cupcake, no matter the size. Also, cakes require more moisture because they require to be baked for a longer amount of time. The differences between cupcakes and cakes is actual an infinite subject at hand, and this is just a few of the very differences, between the two variables.

Well. Development can change ones "label"; as of when us humans grow we are known as a "baby" "toddler" "child" ect. Cakes have the exact same labeling system. "cupcake" and "cake"..
