Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Bombs In The Middle East

Since it was pointed out to me, that there is no topic about bombs going off in the Middle East, which happens just about everyday.   Hell, there might be one going off right now.   Lets just see how more people care about bombs going off daily on the other side of the Earth, then when it happens during a Boston Marathon.

Discuss.

I definitely agree. Especially at U.S. Soldier sites. Where the enemy sends a "civilian" in need. They either usually have a bomb on their chest, or are heavily armed with guns. Many soldiers have fallen this way. I'm not saying I only care about soldiers in the Middle East, I'm saying I only know of events in the Middle East that consist of U.S. Soldier.

Bagdad is pityful. We should advertise this thread everywhere in the Middle East.

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

Yes. It is.
But perhaps we should investigate why they aren't as televised as the recent Marathon bombing ...
Is it because they're believed to be commonplace?
Is it because there's better news coverage in America?
Is it because of patriotism?
Is it because of a higher population... ?

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

I'll tell you why

It's because Americans care about America, and Middle Easterners care about the Middle East. Close to home hits hard.

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

I think that, since America has so much more and higher tech weapons, people expect it to be harder to attack, which makes complete sense.   A large portion of the middle east is mostly run by rebels, and has been in war for 1000's of years (look at the war over Jerusalem).   While each human life is no more important as any other, the simple fact that it was pulled off, is noteworthy.

Bombs are bad. They should stop blowing up then everyone would not be blown up.

Do we have anyone from the middle east on the forums?

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

I do not believe so, but if we do, I'd love to have their input.

Anyways, back on topic, I agree that bombs are bad, no matter where they happen, but I reserve my right to be more worried about ones that are closer to me.   But that doesn't mean I don't feel different when somebody innocent dies, no matter where they live/what their beleifs are.

Hey everyone! I'm going to bomb Antartica tommorow, and everyone is gonna know and talk about it on the medias //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/cool:cool::cool::lol::lol::lol:

EDIT: this is a joke, and I think that bombs shouldnt't even exist. They are bad because they blow up people. What's even worst, is that they are created by humans themselves. Bombs </3

This topic is on the middle east, not Antarctica. If all you're going to do is derail the topic then you should leave now before you get warned.

Since Syria is going through a civil war, I'm not suprised at the daily explosions at all, that would seem the norm in that occasion. However, I also feel upset hearing about it. No matter what side they are from, good intentions or not, they're all still human, and to hear of any human massacres makes me think about it and pray.

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

This has been more a problem ever since Bush decided that he wanted all the oil in Iraq.

Pretty sad though.

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

Too much religion and American military power is killing many people in the Middle East, I think they just need more education, and more awareness of the American military murdering innocent civilians.

No, it's not America or terrorist groups that's causing the problems, it's oil. If there was no oil everything would be about a billion times better (even if there were still problems).

Re: Bombs In The Middle East

All bombings are sad, I think it's horrible that people do this to each other.

P.S. inb4 treejoe complains that this topic has less comments than the Boston one.

^lol

It's been days, and this is still on one page.   Obviously there was more to talk about in the Boston one, which leads back into why I think it was a bigger story, because it lead to more discussion, even if most of it was treejoe going off.

Why would I complain? This topic is pointless because everyone knows the answers.
