Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I don't know, they just kind of fascinate me. Mostly just the pretty colors and their usage though, not so much the math behind it, although that can be pretty interesting too. I recently came across a program named XaoS which is a very neat and quick realtime fractal zoomer, and I've been messing around with that a lot lately, mostly just in the Mandelbrot Set though.
I took some screenshots that I thought would be worth sharing and slapped 'em all together into an imgur album which I'm still updating occasionally, if anybody would like to see that.
So yeah, fractals. Neat stuff.

I have no idea what this is but I think it's cool!
Neato. Seems pretty cool, might be something I could get into, thanks.

These look neat. Some of them could make a nice desktop background.
^ srs?
Fractals are why I love imaginary numbers.
By the way Xaos doesn't work on Mac for me. Whether I choose any of formulae or make mine, it does nothing (sometimes the window turns black and then shows standard Mandelbrot set)
You have cool fractals though, liked most of them.
What the hell - I asked my maths teacher this week about what Mandelbrot Sets are (Before this topic even existed).
Coincidence? I think not!

And I started looking into fractals around a week ago

This is some kind of cabbage or cauliflower or something that naturally grows into a 3D fractal. Ye.
May cause seizures
This looks like the portal to the dream world, I wanna enter it...
