Tell me, why?

Since the other topic has been locked, you come to another topic, just to attack my point of view. It is highly amusing, because all that I have indeed said about getting depression, ill, ect, due to staying in doors to much are all true facts. I am simply not making this up. Please, if you're going to act like a total jerk, just don't comment, it seems that you obviously can not resist an argument and and seeing my reaction towards your outright stupid comments.

Exactly, I do go outside alot with my family.

There's literally nothing I can think of to do (that is, that I am able to do) outside that's fun.

Honestly? Gardening, bike riding, a day out with friends or family, photography, walking. running, dog walking, playing out, tourist attractions( zoos, safari parks ect) when it snows go sledge riding.

For people asking why I am discussing this:
Lets be honest, if you excessively spend time indoors, it is a proven fact it will cause stress, ill health, you're likely get to get unfit. People always used to play outside, they hardly do now, I am not saying "GO LIVE OUTDOORS" Just spend a bit more time outside, it will do you good.
For people saying spending time outside is dangerous:
You'd have to be kidding me right? You would rather sit inside a house with high powered electricity running through the walls of your home; carpet, furniture and materials that easily be caught on fire and a above you is is tons of weight, that could crush you with ease if the floors/walls unfortunately gaveway. I understand these are worst case scenarios however, on the other hand, so is being hit by a car.

Psychologically speaking, it's not going outside that relieves stress; rather, it's exercise. It's possible to exercise anywhere, namely indoors. Gyms exist for that very purpose.

Yeah, they were joking. Your reasoning bugs me, though; you think there are more dangers inside a house than anywhere outside?

I never said it's more dangerous, I said being in doors is still dangerous, yet everyone assumes that it is all safe and cozy inside. It's simple, with everything in our lives, we have advantages and disadvantages.

Huh, I always figured he developed cabin fever (partially) from being shut in. But I guess that it's up for debate if it was due to the ghosts and whatnot as well.

In either case SN1P3RK1LL's example doesn't work, since most of the movie happened indoors!

Re: Spending your life indoors.

Disease from outdoors is a pathetic excuse to not go outside. You can get plenty of disease from staying in your house. (Also, how are you going to get to the doctor? I don't think he'd/she'd be willing to leave her office every month for one person)

Get some fresh air. Go play around. Have fun. Exercise.

Some stuff you can't do inside your entire life.

krubby was not talking to you, nor was it a serious statement. I trust you can be the mature individual that you are and not attack other people, nevermind points. I respect it if you don't appreciate the sarcasm, but you don't need to throw accusations or name-call.

I'm not going to humor the next person who flames or derails.

I am not bothered at all if you processed to give me a warning for replying to you, as I still have 2 warnings till a ban, good ol' me.

It's disgusting that you think of me of such a subject.

I have said a few time within the topic of which why I'm asking, I'm guessing you do not read topics.

I do care, because it is indeed outright stupid. that so many people are sadly wrapped up in their house, and not getting outside, and getting the most out of their childhood.
For the record, I am at the big age of 17 today.

What are you trying to say? are you trying to say " what else can we do outdoors besides running? " if that's the case then you could go hangout with friends or go to a park and enjoy the fresh air. Why did you said "besides running" is that all you can come up with? not trying to be negative towards to you but your post didn't sounded helpful or understanding. It sounded a bit disrespectful towards Lashkar since it sounds he has a serious problem right now.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

I'm going to bump this.

Am I the only one who agrees with him?

My town is like a ghost town, even when the sun is shinning. 85k people life in my tiny town, but I hardly see anyone. Only a few years ago, playing games meant a kick around, now their obsessed with technology, it's pretty upsetting.

And way is everyone saying "what can you do?" I live in a urban place, but we have the odd playing field. I climb trees, parkour, cycle. If you have any friends there's loads you can do.

I just think it's stupid, why can't people get outside more. Especially children. (PLEASE DON'T FREAKING SAY, CREEP, OR WHAT EVER OR I'LL SWEAR I'LL FREAK OUT) Since, spending half of your childhood inside isn't going to much of a memory, and plus it's pretty good to get outside, it keeps you healthy and happy, just to go on a little cycle ride is good for you. Please don't try to argue that play on the pc,xbox or ps3 is better than getting out in the sun with your buddy's and messing about, or having a kick about. It was once the news saying kids who spend a lot of their life inside are likely to get more things with them, weight gain, mental health issues, such as depression, and hard to socialize with.
I was going to post this in my rants topic, but then I saw this.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

Thinking about this, I don't go outside enough - damn 'friends' forget I exist; but recently I've been filming for the Air Training Corps and I don't miss the outside (Good ol' English rain). But if I was somewhere where the weather is more sunny/reliable then I would go outside more, I don't know what I would do though.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

I spend my life indoors (with the exception of going to school). What keeps me from not going outside is that I don't like sports and that what most people do outside (especially in my neighborhood), I don't have any friends that live in my neighborhood & I don't really like any of the other teenagers that live around. So in conclusion the indoor life is for me.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

people are different
I like to stay on my computer as a entertainment way because I don't like to be social, I don't have fun at parties, every time I talk with someone, he starts to talk about other people. I don't like other people! I don't have any interest on other people.
But still, I respect who have interest on other people, I respect who have fun at parties, I respect who doesn't have fun at computer, but don't come at me and tell me what I need to find fun at, as I said, people are different.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

My only excuse ATM is school. I mean literally:

- All my assignments must be types
- There are online quizzes I must do
- Sometimes I look up references for art
- I use my computer for music so I can focus when studying
- I used online resources for papers and other things

---

However it is my goal this summer to ride my bike more. When I do not feel obligated to be working on Homework then I will probably get out more. Personally though I am not a very social person, so I will probably just be one of those people who rides for a while into some obscure unknown spot by myself and draw. I really hope I find some interesting places this summer I haven't really had time to explore my new neighborhood since I just moved in at the end of last summer.

EDIT: Also I'm at college that is why I haven't explored my new home much yet. I am going home next week though //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

There's no objective argument here, just you saying you hate the color black on a black website.
