Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

That's good. More people should care about the health of their children/other members of society, as well as their own health.

You having a good opinion about something doesn't stop you from coming off as condescending.

I'm not sure if this could be any more easier for you people to understand, but let me make it very clear for the people who are struggling to understand.

This forum is going to be populated with children as this forum is linked with a online flash game that kids play, I noticed how often kids play games on their pc, and I though it would be a nice idea to point out that there are many other things do with your life other than, make your self ill and have no friends, it is also depressing for many parents, ask them, they'll know what I mean.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

I don't live in an area where the outdoors are interesting. It's bland, and it's hot. I don't care for it.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

Why is everyone even talking about this.

People are the way they are, and some people prefer to stay inside for their own reasons.

I, for one, am very allergic to pollen, so I try to avoid "activity" unless I have an overdose of Claritin or whatever headed my way. and that's just the way I am, and the way many, many other people are.

So there.

Man, if I went outside every day, I'd turn into a crook or a waste collector. This doesn't apply to the whole Brazil of course, but I live in a very small street, and the kids here are plain roguish, unpolite people with no brain, who only think about football and video games.

I guess it's better for me to stay on the internet, with the civilization and the nerds.

I love outdoors, especially those cool alien spaceships that I shoot down on Zeptron.

There's literally nothing I can think of to do (that is, that I am able to do) outside that's fun.

Oh, this is pretty funny, only due to the lack of your misunderstandings, it was midnight when I was on the internet, I was going to go to sleep, however my mother is ill, and I wanted to stay alert till she went to sleep.

I only spend around a hour on a computer in a whole day, greatly depending on the circumstances of the day. I never said "Do not use a computer" I was just saying that is it sad, that how big the number of child who are obsessed with video games these days.

I'm a Caucasian liberal, thanks for making me laugh so hard. How is this at ALL a stereotype? I own a TV and why do you think we feel superior for going outside...? Anyway, thanks. I could use a good laugh. //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: Spending your life indoors.

Let's see. I spend a lot of time on the internet, but...

1. I have a rather large group of friends. (Not internet friends.)
2. I have had years where I haven't got sick at all.
3. My parents don't care much, in fact, they're happy. I actually spend some time researching science to grasp a better understanding of the world.
4. I have put my computer lingo to use, some people paying me to get them apps/modified games/etc..

I hope you see, I have made not only my computer skills to use, I also spend time looking at google, and I have friends and I don't get ill. Like you said I would. >:[

I'm not sure if I can suspect a tiny bit of sarcasm within that small sentence. I really hope you do see my point in a realistic way, if not, don't worry; let me cut to the chase and be blunt, people have helped drastically to help people loose weight, physiatrist and therapists, are becoming more popular, this only due to people not getting out more.

I'm not being sarcastic, these people will realize there errors when they are older.

Now, tell me dear, why does the color of their skin matter? I'm not liberal, but the irony of this post is overwhelming.

You manage to stereotype the white liberals, but yet you dare to call him stereotypical.

--------

More on-topic. Whether you are on your computer our outside, doesn't actually matter. What you're doing there is what matters. If you're online researching and becoming more educated then yes, the computer would be an excellent choice. Of course, spending your time playing video games isn't #1 healthy choice. But the internet is way more than just video games.

For me, I quite like going outside. I don't exactly have the perfect exciting neighborhood. But I have a nice tree that's fun to climb, so I cope with that. I've actually managed to make a bow and arrow and run around pretending iI'm in the hunger games and scream at random people. But I can't always go outside because of the snakes in the summer, or its too hot. Or on a regular day, the weather may be rainy. So I spend those times on the internet.

I try to take advantage of every moment I can to make my life the most it can be. Which is how, I think, people should act. But I'm not going to sit here and tell you that going outside is better than sitting on the internet. Whatever you think is best for you is what you should be doing. But that's just my opinion. And I don't actually know anything so, yeah.

my god, does no one know what stereotype means? stereotypes exist ffs. that's how they start. it's racist if you generalize people as being like that. all i'm saying is that (s)he is sounding like an existing stereotype, which is true.   god damn, no one knows what the definitions of words are anymore.

Saying that all white liberals "act superior because they go outside all the time and don't own a tv." Not to mention, racism is a kind of stereotype. In fact, it's right in the definition on google:

A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing: "sexual and racial stereotypes".

So my understanding of the word stereotype seems to be quite clear, I believe you're the one with the misunderstanding.

um...... stereotyping is a kind of racism. and i'm not stereotyping, i'm comparing to a stereotype. and fyi, i'm a white left-centrist.

So my understanding of the word stereotype seems to be quite clear, I believe you're the one with the misunderstanding.

apparently not. :l

I'm outside a lot, I play basketball and football almost as much as I'm online.   I should probably be out less, seeing as being outside during school hours is frowned upon.

Re: Spending your life indoors.

I spend most of my life indoors, but I like to go outside every once in a while. The problem is, that I usually only want to go outside when another family member* does.

Go ahead and leave me.
I think I'd prefer to stay inside.

Please tell me you got it from that.
