This forum is too weird, why do people not think it is strange for a father to around asking kids to blow kisses for him? Why is no one telling Echo he should act more mature, as he has a child he needs to teach important life lessons too.

SCENARIO:
13 Year old daughter of yours says, "Hey Dad, I just made blown kisses to a guy on the internet much older than me, don't worry he isn't a creep, he just thinks kids are cute."

A rational minded human being who is a parent would think two things:
1. The guy needs to grow up
2. My child is naive

But don't worry, I don't expect anyone to agree with me, just because I hate your country.

I live in Canada, and however I agree with most of this, I understand Echo has good intentions, he'd never harm any child, not after what he's been through, that is. Although I never actually blew a kiss to him, he still asked, now I'm not saying that's justified by what he's been through, but he's already getting help. He just likes kids. I suppose you could say it was creepy, but I suppose it's all how you look at it. It's not like he's gonna masturbait to it.

I don't know why you're freaking out over it.. If I asked to see their chests, I could completely understand where you're coming from, but right now I'm confused.

Other than "D'waa" what do you think my reaction would be?

And now every time I act "odd" are you going to say "you're a father"?. Just because I am a father and I'm odd it doesn't mean I am incapable of taking care of a child. People in real life say I'm doing just fine...

I think your problem is that you get mixed up with on screen personality and personality. My view of you is of you on here may not be how you really are in real life...     I don't know how you think I spend my days in real life, but I'm guessing it's a pretty weird pictures you've built up. I don't think anyone really acts 100% how they do in real life...

I think discussing pedophilia in relations to Everybody Edits is an applicable topic, even if it is uncomfortable to most.
Let's face the fact that Everybody Edits is filled with children and it is likely to happen, though hopefully it doesn't.

However, the issue of Echo being creepy is completely stupid. I find the "Picture of Yourself" pretty creepy, in itself.

Merp merp merp... I can understand Echo. Misunderstood.

I used to have a father who loved me more than his own life, so I understand Echo's thoughts. He, as a father, loves his child, and so if his child makes him feel good, then other children shall as well. He just wants to look at them as a father, not a pedophile.

I also understand because when I was younger, I was afraid of having a girlfriend, but being the passionate person I am, that sort of blocked it off until it began to overflow and I was getting a crush left and right. Maybe if Echo had more kids, he'd be less interested in others, or maybe he'll never stop being affectionate. Doesn't matter either way.

Okay. This isn't a general rant, this is a rant about something that happened yesterday, I don't feel like harboring it, since I get told to hold on to another vault of thoughts that I'm not aloud to share, I was going to post this in the "Ashley topic", but that wouldn't work out.
I couldn't work out why Ashley's mom gave Ashley up so easily, and was willing for me to have legal rights over him, she hardly has any over him, I was confused, and when I found out I was biological father, it confused me more, why would someone give up their son like this?

I didn't think to much of it, and don't get my wrong I love Ashley, he's the thing i treasure most in life, anywho.

I kept seeing his mom in town and walking around my town with a little kid about the same age as Ashley and looked pretty similar to him. So I decided to text her "I keep seeing you with a kid out curiosity who's is it?", she replied "it's none of your business". She eventually sent me a small text saying "well, he's yours". I must be so stupid, I still couldn't figure what's going on. So, the evil lady eventually told me, she had twins... (Why? WHY? W H Y?, what the hell is freaking chance of having **** twins on the first sleep with someone. Really? WHAT). Anyway that's not what made me angry, I thought she would let me see my other son, but nope. she don't even want to talk to me, she doesn't want me going anyway near him, or her, if I do she threatsens to call the police on me. I just don't understand this stupid logic, surely im fully entailed to see my kid. but no, she wants one and I can have the other, and she never wants to talk to me again, and the horrible thing is, I can't change that.

I just don't know what I done wrong for her to hate me like this, I feel terrible, how can she even feel sane being so evil to me.

I just feel like I dunno, I don't if I was freaking used, or what sparked her evil side, last year we was the closest friends. she did everyting for him, helped me with everything. and now. She hates, me I didn't even do anything wrong, if someone is doing something wrong it's her.
And if a mod feels this is attention seeking, delete this post if you must, though I'm just fed up of harboring thoughts. and if Azure and someone other person who feels the need to tell me to stop talking about life, don't bother posting, because I really can't be botherd to read your childish whining. But if you are willing to stay on subject, you can be as critical as you want and tell me I'm a freaking idiot, and I'm doing everything wrong, that's fine. but just don't tell me that "this is an ee forum" at least im sticking to topics, and not making new ones.

It seems people have the lack of judgement to certain situations, only due to the fact that something similar happened in their personal life. Let me give you an example, on BGT, someone wrote a song about cheating on their girlfriend, (it was pretty funny) all the other judges liked it and it said it was well done, but one judge was all "it's horrible, you're an evil person if you think this is funny, what's wrong with every one?" I think the answer to that question is: it's not them it's you. One of the other judges said "You can't bring your life when it comes to judgement" - Wise words.

Just because something happened in your life, why do you even let that effect certain situations as of where your judgment comes into play. I feel some (some being the key word here) doctors have this issue, which isn't great a career choice if you have to bring your life into others people; "My arthritis is really bad lately" "Mine acts up a lot of the time, but I don't have to keep coming back, anyway, here your prescription". That's true by the way.

It's really stupid if you ask me, if someone says they're feeling depressed I don't go all "IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD I'VE BEEN DEPRESSED ALL MY LIFE" This leads onto another thing, I'm not going to mention names, but they're a horse/car. It seems this personality has trouble believing simple things, even with evidence laid in front of their face, this is only due to their childhood, they probably grew up with a compulsive liar, and now they can not believe anything, as he thinks it's a lie, even if it is 100% true with evidence, I don't get it, I just wish people would stop getting confused with their life with someone else's. Anyway, I don't think people should bring their life into judgemental situations like the 4 examples.  
It's also dangerous, I'll let you work out how.

And who's to say I was talking about his appearance? I was mainly talking about his kind personality, and he is nice looking, yes. Just because I find him nice looking, this does not mean that I find him attractive in an adult manner.

Under the forum rules enforced by Tako, towards me, I am allowed to complement on people, as long as the complements are not too strong, and are rare. I in no way believe that completing a 13 year old's looks and personality represents any traits of a perverted behaviour.

Why do so so so many people do this, it really freaking bugs me.

A topic subject is clearly based on, let's say "dogs" for now, so the person writes a topic clearly based on this subject. then when it's submitted, people miss out the main subject, and nit-pck on the minor details then make a fuss about it. I really freaking hate this, if you're to freaking blind and just silly, to notice the main subject and have nothing better to say, why do you even bother to type.

I could write a huge list of forumers here who do this, though if I do that, I think it will be bullying, so, now one here does that..

If you don't know what this subject is about, it's about people who can not see the main topic and subject, but want to reply, so they pick out something minor in the post, and make a big thing about it.

I can honestly not believe it, that some parents are as evil as they are, if you don't like your child, why even have it? put it in a better home than yours.

It shocks me how people can, not love their own kids, I think that's impossible I couldn't hate ash ever.

Anyway, this kids lives near me, and his parents are so ignorant, selfish and mean. They spend too much time on the sofa cuddling up with each other to care about their own son, he get's told to play outside, as soon as he get's back from school, or play in his room and "be quiet" and he don't have nothing to play with in his room, apart from his bed., the parents never take him out anywhere, and don't care where he goes on the street, they never take him out for a meal, they don't care who he hangs about, and they don't enjoy looking after him. This drives me crazy. I just can not understand, how can two people even be so heartless and neglect like this and thinking nothing of it? WhY? WHY?

He spends more times on the streets, than he does at home, as his parents don't like him in the house, what sickens me is that this kid is 9.

Well on a non-serious note, when I hear the word pedophile it has kind of an abstract meaning to me. Me and my friends in High School used to mock such people with icons like Pedo-Bear or weegie, it was all in good fun though and never meant to harm anyone.

Seriously though, I think the reason people don't view pedophiles as well as homosexuals is because, (in a non-religious sense) there is nothing wrong with being homosexual, but there is a problem with being a pedophile.

Maybe pedophiles don't get to choose to be who they are, which I can see being a little bit more fair comparison, but being a pedophile can be hazardous to the health of others (specifically their victims.) It's a lot easier to pin a real monster than a made up one (because there is nothing monstrous about homosexuality.)

However, if you wanted to raise such awareness on the issue then you would have to prove that not all pedophiles are bad people, because I'm sure they're not, but it's hard to prove with the media constantly antagonizing people over the same issues all the time like homosexuality, murder, pedophilia, etc....

Personally I think everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and if you think pedophiles should have a better name, then you should put one foot out there and say what you feel. Pedophilia in itself is a bad thing though, and maybe since you seem to believe you have the ability to cope with it (sorry if I'm mistaken on the last bit.) then maybe you can start to help others too.

Simple answer, we are really good friends, and if they see the state of him, he will be removed from his home, I know he will. He parents are so stupid, they don't even care who he hangs with, I spent most of time with him lately. They hardly ever feed him, he only really eats crisps, so I normally serve him real food. I'm just worried that i've been taking more care of him than I should, and that he will be put in care.. Not too sure what to do, I see how his in about a week or so, if he's a sad as he's been lately, I'll do something about it. But I will get in so much trouble for not reporting it sooner, and for caring for a minor the way I do. ffs

A pedophile isn't technically a bad person unless he/she does something illegal that would make him/her a sexual offender. Pedophilia is a horrible thing because it can scar children both physically and mentally. A person who might classify as a 'Pedophile' I do not think is at fault until they commit a crime.

I realize that some people may not have control over what they do, but we can't necessarily allow them to just do whatever they want either. I don't generally like to promote the death sentence, but what if someone was like a triple offender or worse, and showed no signs of having improved mental health. Then what?

I'm not saying it's right to alienate those who think differently, but if their actions are hurting others than obviously something needs to be done. I understand their may be counseling, but counseling does not work for everyone. I suppose each case would have to be dealt with differently, it just depends on the person, not everyone is as tolerant as you seem to be.

I don't really have to much of an argument on molesters. It's wrong, and if they've done it more than like 2 times they should be stopped completely. I honestly hate seeing any kid, put through pain, or having to do something of which they are not willing at all..

I honestly hate it when people say "a kid under the age of 13 can not give consent for a kiss as they don't understand it" Or something along those lines. A freaking kiss. a 3 year old knows if they want a kiss or not, you should try to kiss one, they will push you away if you they don't want it. So don't freaking tell me that a 12 year old does not know what a kiss is.. I mean can't they see what they're doing? They wonder why the molestation rate is going up, if they haven't figured it out, they're stupid, if they make kissing a child a who is willing to, illegal then, in a pedophiles mind it will be; " no matter what I do, I'm going to get in a lot of trouble for it, so.. I'll just do the worst".

I mean I personally don't see any harm what so ever in kissing someone who doesn't mind, like not every hour either, nothing else involved, just standing up (in my case crouching ;]) and a quick kiss on the lips, and that's it.

In other words if laws are too tight, I feel people will just stop caring about them. I mean there definitely has to be some laws on kissing a child, just like don't get carried away and don't do it in a manner that's inappropriate, and make sure both parties are willing.

Edit: I understand if the child does not want to kiss, then this is terrible. but if they want to/or don't mind, then this argument is relevant.

Edit2: I mean, I just think it's frustrating to not let a pedophile have an outlet, even if it's the smallest thing, like a hug or a kiss.
