Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Practice

Practice is boring but useful?
I play the violin, and I should practice it everyday to become good (says my violin teacher). I am quite lazy though, so I don't practice it everyday.
I find practice quite weird, sometimes I think it as a fun thing, sometimes I think it as the most boring thing in the world. That's probably because when I practice something, sometimes it is fun, and sometimes it feels like hell //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile
I don't really practice anything a lot, I think it's because I'm just a lazy person. I think I still SHOULD practice a lot, for example playing the violin and Speaking Japanese.
I wonder if I could practice being not-so-lazy :O
I belive many people have hobbies which require practice, so do you practice a lot? What do you think about practice?

Re: Practice

I learned to play high notes by playing them until I cried, so i must say practice works

Re: Practice

I played the clarinet in High School, and I practiced all the time. I really like it though, so it didn't feel like work at all it was fun. I think the highest I got was the a high high C, I don't know how to describe it other than that, but it's one of the highest notes achievable on clarinet.

Re: Practice

I play Flappy Bird quite often, whenever I have nothing to do - anywhere any time.

Re: Practice

Usually I don't mind practicing, but if it has been a rough day like today, I dread it.
I have to get like 2-3 hours a day in, but at this point its more of a necessity than a choice, since I am auditioning for conservatories next year and have to master the Bartok viola concerto before then *shivers loudly*

Re: Practice

I find the best way to learn is through trial and error.
Practice is good, but only when you wish to do it. Otherwise it's indistinguishable from a chore.

Re: Practice

Practice can be useful anywhere. For example, learning. You must practice learning to get smarter. Doing chores, playing musical instruments, and practicing sports are all aspects of practicing. If you don't practice, you won't get very far in life.

for music, at least, this is true, but unavoidable. You have to have the discipline if you want to get truly good at it to work through the chore and make every practice session have rewards. I would guess this the same for other things, like sports (I know it is for swimming), and academics.

Re: Practice

I play Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and most of the time it's fun to practice, I guess because it's a game. Though, some things I practice are very frustrating and boring to try because they're difficult to do. I only ever practice these for at most like 30 minutes. I don't actually need to learn them, but I'd like to be able to do them if I ever get the chance to.
