Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

holy crap sweet jesus i think this is horrible
oh my god
the font legitimately scared me when i opened this
seriously this is uncanny valley good lord
something about those lines and how they squiggle like that
im sorry if i offended you or if you don't take this seriously because of my usual nature, but i really recommend changing it back

The other design could easily be made with GIMP. I don't want a logo that a bunch of other people have.
Also, this one goes more with my website, and I can recreate this one with HTML/CSS and add some animations.
What do you suggest other than change the font?

white background looks real bad on the forum
The white background sticks out too much on this forum. If you want to use that sig in this forum I suggest changing the background.
Edit: lol 20 second difference between my post and Fdoou's

I was going to use on the forums, but I found that no matter what background color I used it looked horrible. I guess I stay with my original one for the forums, but I'm still thinking of using it for my website.

The inversion doesnt look too bad on the forums.
Added a bit of glow, and sorry bout the weird thing in the a
Or if you wanna keep the green (sorry bout the pixelation, the glow from the previous one messed it up and I couldn't be bothered changing it.
Overall, just, invert the colours/change the background if you want it to fit with the forums

But you missed a <Japawa>
I don't really care much, but like others said, the font is just... bad.
i don`t know what that font is, but its bringing back some terrible childhood memory or something.

lol
The font is Petit Formal Script. For some reason it's spelled "pet - ****", wtf?

@Dragonranger - If I was going to invert the colors I would use #cc3366. I don't think it's the inversion, but it's a secondary color I use a lot.

I prefer the collor effect like your sig, but colorful.
This is a false statement.

What if I make it a little more simple?
It's the same font, but it doesn't look as bad.
This one looks way better than the original. Just because, I think bright colors should be used in moderation. If you use a ton of bright white against a few black characters the brightness is very distracting. This can vary though, as I believe if your first image was a header placed against a different background it would look better. As earlier commenters have said, the bright white does not work on black.
If the first image, with white background, was solid header imaged placed against a teal or other similarly bright background it wouldn't look half as bad.
All of what you've made so far looks great.

Why not something nice and simple, indent, OCR A Std font
Edit:
Only if the forum background was white
That looks pretty neat

I actually like this.

It wasn't really meant for the forums. I thought about it, but it looked horrible. I was just trying to get a better logo to use on my website that can't be made using a default on GIMP.
@Squad - Hmm, I might see what I can do with that.
@Ratburntro44 - Me to, it looks a lot better than the original I had.
