Modern Western Feminism

What is your opinion on modern western feminism? It seems a bit silly and pointless to me, as well being an evil which promotes misandry

I would have to argue with that. Feminists themselves do not want females superior, but rather at the same rank as male. I could make a long list of reasons why females are generally see seen inferior in the western countries, but I will save that rant for another time (or if you ask for it).

Probably no matter what I say you're going to find fault so I'll try to be frank.
As far as feminism in fashion, I find it useless to care so much about hair/make-up/clothes etc.... There is actually this really great video that recently came out by Colbie Caillat:

Although I am not sexist, or biased because of body image, there are still many people in America who are. While feminists can sometimes sound annoying they usually do have a purpose. You have to be more specific though because feminism is a broad topic which can cover many different things.

I consider myself a feminist, (yes, even though I am male,) in the sense that I believe that women should have the same rights/oppurtunities/pay/etc as men.

Feminism shouldn't be about women being superior to men, that would defeat the point. Its about leveling a playing field that has been slanted for too long...
rape culture, the fact that in America women make on average 70% less than men do FOR DOING THE SAME JOBS... Things like this are what feminism is against.
THere are, however, 'feminists' who are, plainly, crazy. Like that movement to do away with Fathers Day... That was ridiculous and made me cringe.

I wish guys were treated as equal - why do I have to register for the military reserves while women don't (as least I can be in a non fighting position)

For me this is a clear example of the issues of feminism, which is trying to equalize the differences between men and women. For some areas it is like comparing apples and oranges.

Part of the role of the soldier is complete their duty with swift, quick, and aggressive action. Men are biological prepared for this role, as nature intended. Males are often far more physically abled, and mentally able to deal with role of a soldier. You can compare this any physically demanding work, such as a firefighter etc.

Alongside this, an active, fighting soldier is prone to rape, pregnancy, and may provide a distraction.
