Just wanted to share a song:

Okay, so recently I heard about this song called Papaoutai by Stromae (a Belgian song artist).

It's super popular in Belgium and France, but not so much here.

It's a REALLY good song, and the video makes it even better. The dancing is super expressive and meaningful, and there is a story to the video.

The song is in French, so if you can't understand French it might be difficult to get the whole meaning, so I'll give you some clues before you watch.

"Papaoutai" is a different phonetic spelling of papa où t'es. Papa, où t'es? translates in English to "Dad, where are you?"

Basically, what I took from it (my French isn't fluent), is that the father works a lot, is rarely home, and basically is no more than an immobile figure to the child.
