Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Another viral video has been going around about feminism, this time about a woman walking walking around NYC for ten hours and recording 'Cat Calls'. Claims are that this video is accurate to life and a good representation of misogyny in action.
I think this video is just another piece of overblown feminist propaganda. She is walking in areas which she knows she is likely to get attention from unintelligent people. She is also seeming to count simple things such as "Hello" and "Hey beautiful" into groupings of hateful speech. Even if the men's intentions were evil, whatever happened to common courtesy?
The problem here, I think, is that the woman in question is being overly sensitive. That is not to say there weren't a few offenders (Such as they guy who followed her for 5/10minutes), but most of the comments in the video were just casual compliments, not meant to offend. I mean after all, the woman is beautiful, so what's so bad about being called beautiful?
CNN did a response video with Amanda Seales, and Steve Santagati<iframe width="480" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-HI4DC18wCg?rel=0&vq=hd720" frameborder="0"></iframe>
This was obviously a feminist vs/ masculine plight, but I felt on the whole neither of them had good opinions. The problem being, Amanda maybe has a point that woman aren't going around looking to be complimented. But, I also feel like she's being too dramatic about it, because so what if someone calls her beautiful? Isn't that a good thing.... But Steve is also wrong, because people shouldn't need to be complimented for looking good. I mean honestly, why are people letting little comments run their life?
My point is, I think the cat calling video is BS. Feminists need to stop being so damn sensitive. And of course there are always going to A-holes and other misogynistic garbage in the world, but why don't we just ignore them? I'm so sick of this issue spiraling out of control to no real end....

This is why I've enjoyed living in rural areas. Besides the disturbances of cat-calling, it's idiotic since it doesn't work.
Also one of the first things I noticed was that the vast majority of those strangers are black. Pretty likely it's a cultural thing.

I also live in a fairly small town, but even if I didn't, I just don't think it's something to be offended by. Like there's a difference between "Hey beautiful", and "Wanna get laid?"
Seems like feminists just try and take every little thing they don't like about society and make a big deal out of it.

It's immature and ridiculous to cat-call but nothing to cry over.
It's worth it going viral though, maybe these people's social skills will advance beyond "hei gurl dayum dat butt be lookin fine"

What bothers me about this, besides everything you pointed out failgirl, is that she was walking around for ten hours and only got like 2 minutes of footage....? That doesn't sound like its a good representation of the entire male gender.
I got yelled at yesterday by one of my female friends because she said something that I thought was too generalized and wildly under representative, , and I told her so. She ranted at me for a good twenty minutes, completely ignoring everything I said and calling me sexist and the works. So I guess this is a little fresh on my mind.

I think cat-calling is stupid too. I just think there are bigger problems to worry about then a couple of morons lacking in social skills.
its ok to stare at gudies

>Implying that the people who made this video didn't cherry pick which catcalls got put into it.

The creator of the video admitted to editing out most non-black people.
