Question on Christmas Avatars

What do you think on people changing their avatars for the holidays by adding a santa hat?
I used to see this much more often. I did not see it for quite a while, but I am now beginning to see it again.

I don't have christmas hat so I would use grinch. But, I don't like grinch, so I'm probably going to use one of the new ones. Maybe caroler or gingerbread. I don't like nutcracker.

I mean when someone takes their forum avatar and adds a picture of a santa hat to it.

To show they are celebrating in a festive day that has nearly no significance nowadays, considering it's still believed that it is the day Jesus was born or whatever, despite it already being stated by historians that it simply came from a holiday the Vikings celebrated, that was changed to Christmas by the Christians.

Mine is weird too but there were no creepy faces in MLP: FiM Episode Winter Wrap Up so I had to stick to using these.
