Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Would you still...

The question that I am posting is not mine, and has been adapted from the original version. I do not know who wrote it.

Would you still love your significant other if you found out they were a robot, after about nine months?

Re: Would you still...

It's an interesting idea, could be a possibility in the future.
If it happened to me, my trust would become completely non-existent.

Computer-human relationships is much too taboo at this point.

It would be impossible to tell whether it was a robot or human in the nine month period, though.

Most possible is to be in the project of making it.

Well that depends, is it like full AI and the robot makes its own decisions with very little human control except for maintenance and things like that, or is it someone that programs everything like how the robot acts in certain situations? I'd say I would love the robot if it was the first scenario. On the second one, I wouldn't like the robot very much then, considering it doesn't have free will and it would feel all fake after you figure out.

okay, but after 9 months I would know

then i would spiral into a crisis caused by the terrifying fact that my entire range of romantic interests could be simulated into a computer program

It's a pre-programmed robot that learns, knows exactly what you want, learns, and is basically impossible to differentiate a human and it, until the nine month period is over in which it acts the same but you know it's a robot.
