Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

We must go to the exact same school. Mine is just as bad as this, and possibly even worse(?) I have so many teachers who complain about not being able to pull up educational youtube videos, due to them being blocked.

Just find online games without "game" in the URL or, uh, inappropriate content without suggestive titles.
Using Google Translate or online proxies worked for me on my vocational school, they must really want to have these barriers.

Once my school tried to go on the school government website thing and it was blocked.

Wikipedia
Google Maps (and Google Earth)
Google Images
Online CalculatorsAnd for some reason they blocked coolmathgames.com and I do not know why. And here's the most absurd one yet:
amazon.com
To be fair to the school they probably don't want people sourcing things off Wikipedia (though you could find the sources from that wiki page so I don't agree with that one much), looking at random things on Google maps (this happened way too much at my school) and wasting time, and don't want people trying to buy/search for things on amazon during school time. I don't understand the google images one though, possibly just don't want people wasting time, that's just idiotic though because there are good uses for it, but you don't really need an online calculator (with the exception to graphing), unless you don't have one already on the computer. and coolmathgames is a major time sink, that's what my school told people to go on when we had nothing to do and you seriously just lost time when on there and completely useless.
Basically the main reason why I see that things are blocked is because it distracts from learning which is fair although very strict and you might not agree with some of them.
Try setting up an OpenVPN server on TCP port 80. So long as they haven't gone full retard and only have an IP white-list, it should work.
