Wow I haven't seen this much drama since the last official contest.
@Jawapa: What the eff are you trying to prove? I've worked as a summer school teacher for two summers dealing with small children, and I've picked up a thing or two about being an authority figure. For starters, there is always going to be someone who isn't happy. So what? A teachers job is to teach, such is a moderators job is to moderate. As long as you are doing the best you can, and Julian/Brian approves, there's no reason to strike an argument with any passerby who gives you a hard time.
Micromanagement not only is highly ineffective, it also makes you look highly immature. The purpose of a guardian is to deal with the issues on a larger scale. Pick and choose your battles.
@Squad and others, I can certainly understand the bias which may cause doubt in one candidate or another, but the amount of hate I'm seeing in this thread is ludicrous. All people have made mistakes in their past, but that doesn't mean that can't learn from those mistakes. Though I don't like Ultrabass, nor NVD (at least from what I've read) I still think they deserve a chance. It's not like they're administrators, and their mistakes can be undone.
I also think people are taking this way too seriously...It's just a game...

On-topic: Jawapa, I'm not telling you to quit (also I have posted before, no one pays attention though.) I'm just saying, while you have potential you don't seem to be using it to it's fullest. I can totally understand wanting to pick a fight with people who tell you you're wrong, but the greatest revenge isn't in beating your enemies. To be the best moderator you must treat all players with respect, even the ones you don't like. The greatest revenge will come when you prove that you were capable, when so many told you, you were not. I believe in you, and you should too.

Agreed! With the rise of the guardians, trolls will need to become sneakier and trollier than ever! We must endeavor to bring all of EE to it's knees!
@Jawapa: Think of it this way, you see all sorts of crap online about Obama being a horrible president, but you don't ever see him talk about it. Sure, maybe he cares, but on the larger scale the opinions of individual people are usually less important when it comes to moderating a whole. Whether what people say is true or not means nothing if you know you are doing the right thing.
