It appears the new room sorting system has had the unintended side effect of destroying the open worlds.
You can still make them but it's impossible to join them from the lobby.
Open worlds are still in the lobby, they just look like normal worlds.
Try joining levels that have 0 woots and you might find one.

Huh you would think they would have their own tab still.
