How to Post an Image on the Forum

Trying to figure out how to upload a picture? It's not very hard, just read this!

Step 1: The Picture

Make sure whatever picture your using you save it in a convenient place that you know where it will be. Make sure to save it in a format such as (I use .PNG for a clearer and better image) .PNG, .GIF, .JPG or .JPEG (.JPEG and .JPG are frowned upon in my book, it may lower the file size but it practically ruins your picture, which also makes it not editable)

Step 2: Image Hosting Website

Preferably http://imageshack.us/ because it is widely used, not to mention fast, easy, and simple. Go to imageshack and click "Browse". A window will pop-up telling you to find your image file. When you find it, click on it and click "Open". Then go to resizing options and set it to "Do not resize" (You don't really have to do this but it makes your image the way it originally was) . Then click "Upload Now". Now as soon as it finishes uploading it will take you to a screen full of links you'll have to copy and paste. Now, the two important ones are the ones that say "Link" and "Direct Link". "Link" makes your image viewable but you view it on imageshack only, not view it directly on here. "Direct Link" is the one you want (unfortunately have to sign up for, but dont worry, it's like 5 minutes) because you can put it directly on a page to view. So copy whichever.

Step 3: How to post

Now that you copied your image link, it's time to post it on here! WARNING: READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY! IF YOUR IMAGE IS ENORMOUS AND STRETCHES THE SCREEN, PLEASE, JUST POST THE LINK ONLY!! Okay, paste your link:

http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/7551/awesomepicture.png

NOTE: THIS PART IS FOR "DIRECT LINK" ONLY. THE IMAGE TAGS WILL NOT WORK ON THE "LINK"!________________________________

Then put the "Image" tags around it:

[img][/img]

like so:

[img]http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/7551/awesomepicture.png[/img]

Then your picture should come out like this! (Mine is in .PNG format!)

Suweat. Hope people don't get made at you for posting something briefly explained in the BBCode tut. Personally, I think that wasn't in depth enough (even though it was one of the longest post evarrrr...).   I already knew how to do this, but...

Imageshack is pretty slow, imgur or tinychat are better
