my opinion on the new mods

i probably should wait a few days to make this thread because i just got off a one day ban and i might be biased, but i think this thread needs to be made.
different55: i usually dont use the sections he moderates in, but i think the only reason he was voted to be a mod is because his high postcount. not much to say.
chewy: a lot more to say than different. personally, i think chewy has gone mad with power. alex and rpg are pretty lenient, but chewy will ban you for anything. i know i am biased since i was banned by chewy yesterday, but i dont think it was the right choice making chewy a mod. yesterday at ex1, i was talking to bass about this. according to him, he has talked to rugirok and they both agree that modding chewy was a mistake. i got 3 warnings from chewy and here are my opinions on his warnings. first one was for a joke forum game. it was a ripoff of rate the sig above you. it was rate my sig above you. i agree with that warning somewhat. the next warning was for graedigging. as a joke, i dug up a topic about gravedigging. i agree that i should have gotten that warning, and i even sait in my gravedig post

edj: personally, i think he was a good choice of a mod. he can handle moderating ex1 pretty well, and so far he has done a good job.
those are only my opinions and if you have to close this for flaming, go ahead and close it. i have bass on my side as he said he wanted a link to this post as soon as i made it. if anyone is gonna close this, make sure it is not chewy, as he would close this in a heartbeat because i talk about him in it.

They do an OK job, however being a bit more lenient will probably satisfy users more.

I also recommend not locking posts just because you don't agree with the thread creator or if the creator is getting bogged down in negative comments as these threads aren't breaking any rules.
Gravedug threads should not be locked unless the thread definitely no longer serves a purpose.

WELLLLllll, if that ever happens you always help by reporting, don't you? And you're doing a good job of it, too. Just report a locked topic if you think it should be unlocked.

It is true me and Bass were talkin bout the issue, but I never once said that making Chewy a moderator was a mistake.

If solid proof of any major wrongdoings by the new moderators can be provided to me (I don't have time to look through every single topic, sadly), action will be taken. But for the meanwhile, I shall investigate. Eeveryone's opinion is valued.

Honestly, I disagree (Except for EDJ.) I though Chewy was modded because of his seriousness. I pretty much like this. As for Different55, I think he is a good person, that's all. Not trying to start an argument, just posting my, opinions.

Ok, I think I should explain. I don't ban people for any reason. I ban when they have a certain amount of warnings. As for when I give warnings, I tend to be very strict on the rules. Apparently that isn't appreciated so I will be a little more loose.

well these mods r better than some other mods ive been on a site where i wasnt banned 4 2 days cuz of these realy strict mods and i followed every rule cu i heard they were realy harsh.

Woah. That's pretty harsh stuff right there. I personally am bIased for different and chewy cuz they are key players in my crew. BUT.

Chewy I love how you handled this situation. You kept your head and didn't flame. The qualities that got you nodded no doubt. But I have some feedback. Don't take this wrong but, I see do many posts that are locked.... I don't know why they were locked exactly. But I think that being a tad more lenient would be best. I highly doubt he has gone "hungry for power" he just is taking this job seriously.

Different And edj.. Well idk I never really use differents section, and edj I don't see him on hardly.

Overall I think that the excitement from the nominations still has to wear off, then this will all settle into place
