If I won, I'd put the picture in my sig as well. I think the winners should remove the picture after the end of this month. It shouldn't be a permanent picture, just a way to say, "Look, I won! Hooray!" Already, the contest hype is starting to die down. As it does, the pictures gradually become more obnoxious, and it will continue to until no one cares about the winners anymore. Personally, I never minded the pictures. Now, though, I think it's about time to remove the pictures. The contest is over.

Jeez, can I leave a conversation for 3 days without the whole thing going downhill?

1) I'm asking a favor. If you don't want to be considerate, and you don't want to even acknowledge the post entirely and go on about a different subject about signature sizes, please don't post here at all.

2) As I said in the post, I understand how proud you are. I'm not telling you to forget the fact that you won. I'm asking to take the PICTURE off. Write a paragraph about how you're better then everyone else for all I care, it's just the picture that's annoying.

3) I stand by my opinion that only winners care about the winners. Among those 10 groups are the only one's who even give a flip.

@Chewy: I can't really take your opinion because you're one of the winners, and like I said, only winners care about winners. If you lost, or judged, I would take it into consideration. But for now your voice is just as worthless as D-rock's or different's; even if you are a mod.

In general, I find that almost everyone has obnoxiously large and annoying signatures (just my opinion). Is there some way to view the forums in plain html or whatever?

In Firefox, you can go to Tools menu->Options; Content pane, and uncheck the "load images automatically" box. All images will disappear (including ones you take for granted, like the smileys: :/ )

...and make sure to re-check the box when you want your images back. This option affects all web sites.

Edit:

If you want to go even further, go to View menu-> Page Style and select "No Style." The result will be the Internet as it was seen in 1993. Yuck.

Yuck indeed, good sir. I never actually used the internet in 1993, but the pictures in my textbooks talking about the internet give me a pretty good image.

ATM, the forums looks that way. All the font is in Courier. I can't see white text. It's just a mess. I'll post a screenie of what it looks like: http://i53.tinypic.com/abpajb.jpg
