Why don't we just lock all the old announcements?

Topic says it all. Any post in an old announcement is a gravedig, and lately people have been posting in old announcements a lot. Why don't we save people the trouble of reporting all the gravedigs and just lock all the old announcements?

its not just announcements. we need to lock all intros after a week. also in rooms, if the level is a nonsaved and it expires, or if it is saved but it gets deleted, we need to lock those.

EE announcements should be locked each time a new announcement is posted; exceptions for contests.
Forum announcements should be locked two or three weeks after original date of posting, unless stated otherwise.

These are, of course, just my opinions.

I reported one of the announcements with this message but I guess they didn't like that idea. maybe they like handing out warnings?

I don't see any reason why not to, but Forum Announcements are gravedug far less than EE announcements. And thanks, Ruri.
