Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I got banned for 1 day yesterday. I don't know even for what yet. As far as I knew I had 1 warning, from a looooooooooong time ago. Yesterday I saw the 'banned' page, and I was banned for the reason: Double post. I don't know when I double posted, in what topic or whatever. The current warning system isn't a good one. Imagine you're on the forum for 7 years. You get 1 warning per year, that'll mean you'll be perma-banned then? I think 1 warning should be forgiven each 2 or 3 months. And there should be a Warning checker (I know you can PM the mods or admins, but this is more useful). If the admin(s) or mod(s) who gave me my 2rd and 3rd warning could respond to this message, and why they gave that warning, and why they banned me, I'll be happy.

agree. i know i will get banned eventually, but this will save me. erase warnings after a few months.

While I'm pretty sure I've never gotten a warning, I'd agree that we need a warning system. The only place you get to see if you have a warning is if you go back to the thread it happened in, and sometimes I just post and leave forever.
I hate tall signatures.

Jad, I think I have seen you get a warning, but I forget where and when. It was a long time ago. I think it was for a double post. I also agree, but I think one warning should be relieved after one year. I mean, eventually we're all just going to be perma-banned.

I've tried to think of something like this, but I got a "decide on a case-by-case basis" response from everyone. Anyway this would be very difficult. We can't track your last warning. Or what each warning was for. All we have is a number.

That's what I mean. When I was banned, the page said that I was banned for "Double posting" while I only once double posted and asked the mods/admins to merge it nicely.

I have to agree I got a warning yesterday for suggesting that we close a old topic turns out i was grave digging. Also no one is really perfect I think after two months or one you get a warning off.
Here are the other reasons you got banned:
- Spam "I PM that I PM that"
- Very large sig
for an extra cost of 1 warning. You might have had another warning which got you banned in the first place.
how about this. just erase all warnings from everyone and give us a fresh start.

Why?

so i will have 4 less warnings and not be 2 away from a permaban.

Not a problem if you stop breaking the rules, is it?

Uh, just to say... It is very many rules and its difficult to not brake any of them...
I think that 2-3 months is too little of a time. Maybe 6-12 months would be more reasonable.
And yeah, if warnings don't wear away, then we will all be perma-banned sometime as Supadorf said.

I don't understand why you think everyone is going to keep breaking the rules.
Aslai has been foruming for 4 months or years (I don't remember) and he hasn't got a single warning yet. Why do you insist on getting warnings? lol.
most of us make some mistakes like double posting or making a stupid thread. it is inevitable for most of us.

The forums were made last October.
Gamer, you doubleposted on one of my topics. I'll see if I can get a link, but it was something like this:
Blablabla

Double post, ignore this.
[EDIT] Blahaha. Found it on the first try.
