Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

...Sorry if this makes me sound stupid, but
What are the rules on bumping? I've looked around and I can't find anything.
You can only bump a topic after 3 days of the last post. OK?!
GOT THAT?!?!?!
REMEBER IT!
Jk

Chewy said it can only be bumped after 1 week...
... idk. When it comes up it's just after one day so I don't have to deal with the actual boundary because it's nowhere near it anyway.

Wat.
If it's just a bump with no new information I recommend a couple of days. But the rules aren't very clear about that, I agree

Generally, if you are not adding new info wait a week. If only one or two people comment after it is bumped, don't bump it again.
If you don't get a warning, you bumped well.

I'd say it depends on which forum section it's in. For example, in General Discussion, things move down the list fairly quickly. It may be necessary to bump something just because it got pushed onto the third page in two days.
