change the way we do bans and warnings

i say instead of banning based on how many warnings you have, we should ban from the ratio of posts to warnings. lets take 2 people. person a is a noob user who has no idea about anything and constantly spams. he makes 10 spam posts and has 30 total posts. person b is an experienced forum member that makes mistakes. he has made 10 spam posts and has 750 total posts. which person do you think needs to be banned? discuss.

Both of them. They made the same amount of spam posts, they both get the punishment.

If you're a good person you won't get banned.
If you're a bad person you'll get banned eventually.

I don't think time will change that.

They wouldn't need to be banned because by the time they make 7 spam posts, they are already banned.

take this into consideration. person a is a spammer. person b is a contributing forum member that makes mistakes. think about it.

You wouldn't make the mistake in the first place if you were a contributing member, because you'd know what you can and can't do.

I'd say I'm a fairly contributatious member. I have never gotten a warning. I haz deh common sense, and the ability to read the rules. That's all you really need.
