Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

First of all: why do we get banned for a few days or months? What is the profit of that? Second: You can't be forgiven, if you have 1 warning every 3 months, you'll be permanently banned in 2 years. Third: I think we need trusted members or so. Members who aren't admins or mods but have like over 1000 posts. If you get your first warning, you'll be ok, because it was an accident. This doesn't count for spam etc. Like gravedigging or multiple posting. If you get your second warning in a month, you should be really warned, just one warning. And I think every 2 months you should have -1 warning for trusted and non-trusted. If you are banned permanently, this doesn't count. After 5 warnings you would be permanently banned, until you apologize with a really good reason. DISCUSS!!!

You can be forgiven, there is a thread currently to get one warning removed from you.
And for the unban from perma, linus20+1 had that too and see what happened too him

I already have one warning removed. And there's just one thread. Look how long this forum exists. If you get ONE warning removed in 1/2 year, isn't that a little less?
Linus' story is different. He had been given a chance, and he f*cked it up(sorry). You should at least be able to apologize one time, till the mods block your apologize-form. If you f*ck your chance up after that, then you'll be permabanned.

i say we should have a method where you can appeal your ban and have the mods see if you deserved to be banned or not.

Yea, if you're a nice forumer with now and then a warning, I don't think you should get banned. +1 for that!

Why does everyone always assume it is impossible to not get warnings?
Because the mods are too strict.

Okay, let's see. Nou has no warnings and he has over 800 posts. BEE doesn't have any warnings, neither does Takoman (with over 3000 posts). It isn't hard.
It's hard for people who aren't so lucky.
Think about the people with warnings. They want to get them removed. But how? They can't.

It's really not hard to not get warnings. Just use common sense, only post when you contribute to the thread (or have an awesome joke of course, which, in a way, is also contributing), be respectful and for god sake just edit your posts instead of doubleposting. It has nothing to do with luck :/

ive made some mistakes, but i disagree with a few of my warnings. also nou, nobody wants to give you warnings. you could spam inappropriate content all over the forums and still not get banned.

I disagree about the personal bias, I'm sure I would get banned just as easily if I'd spam anything inappropriate. I just won't

^ This. People seriously exaggerate the difficulty of following the rules and using plain common sense.
Because the mods are too strict.
Psst, nicest mods ever, I only got banned once.

You're making out the mods/admins banned you for no reason; you got banned because you broke rules, simple as.
The same goes for the other 99% of all other forum members who've been banned.
I have never got a warning but if I did I would probably never use the forum again. Nobody's going to warn me about anything.

Unless you brake the rules. I have 1 warning(I was a noob at the time) for double posting after that I learnt my lesson anyone can get warnings it just some people prefer to follow the rules. Don't brake any rules and you won't get a warning simple as that.

Well maybe if you respected them.
I have 1 warning and, to the best of my knowledge, I've never done anything wrong. Nobody knows what I did, either. While what most of you say is true (it's not hard to avoid getting loads of warnings), there's such a thing as accidents, and they happen once in a while.
I hate tall signatures.

Jad, I think I've seen you double post on accident once.
EDIT: Don't ask me how or why I remember that.

Aw, I wasn't on the list of people with a huge amount of posts and no warnings
I once got a warning. It was removed without argument due to it not being technically correct. (i'm not posting the story here.)
It's not hard to NOT get warnings. It's actually quite simple.
But I do agree with the idea of being allowed to argue your case on bans.
