Well, it seems that there's always a global mod/admin on, so there's no point in having any more. Section mods would just strengthen it all.

You mean ADDING section mods?

Don't really see the need, and like D55 said a while back you're not just "making it stronger", you're getting in the way of other mods.

Not sure HOW new mods would get in the way, but apparently they would.

Okay, it appears I need more clarification.
I'm not saying we need new mods, I'm saying if they decide to add new mods.

United we stand. Divided we fall. A few global mods beats lots of section mods. Someone can just post in the right sections and then the online mods can do nothing but ban him. With many global mods, you have to wait for every mod to leave, not just wait for a few.

Chewy is very serious and strict. I rarely see him post nowadays, but overall he does a good job because of those qualities.

But there is a difference from a Dictator and a President.

Chewy is more on the Dictator side pleasing the minority.

Let's see here, EDJ, I believe, is more like the President that does for the majority.
Chewy- Bans for no reason, irrational locking threads, and I hardly see him around, aren't mods SUPPOSED to be more active? He is doing us about as much good as epicstonemason

EDJ- Gives a chance as a warning, explains why threads get locked logically.

Can you give me an example of how he bans for no reason, irrationally locks threads, and is inactive?

He says he can   ban for no reason whatsoever, and I know firsthandedly that he banned me.

This is not what we want from mods.

This was about 10 months ago. Plus I was only banned that once.

Yes, he can, and everyone else can. The fact he CAN does not mean that it HAPPENED that way. Chewy did not ban you for no reason at all.

Chewy may not post much, but it doesn't mean that he does not look around to perform his job. In some ways, he's just a lurker, but bans people if necessary and helps with needed tasks. I only wish that he would give more reasoning as to why he does these certain things. :/

But at a higher post count, the moderators and administrators have had a good chance to determine whether you are that idiot or not.   And either way, most idiots are banned (I do say most).
