Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I have a feeling that when I send a report, it's useless and the mod finds the topic on their own.
Is there like a list of reports? Is it anonymous?

Yes we do read the reports, and the report system works like a stack (newer reports are generally handled first). Reports are not anonymous.

Reports aren't useless at all!
And reporting isn't anonymous, I think to prevent spamming it

Of course mods read them. Otherwise, we'd probably still have off topic topics in general discussion and several spam posts.
I wonder if they bother to read the poetry I recite in them, though. That's always fun.

Yeah, they do. It's how you change your topic title, I've done it.
All reports are read by mods, but not all reports warrant action. Sometimes I'll PM the reporter and say, "Hi, thanks for the report. No action was necessary because {x}." But other times, if the report was something simple like a false-flagged double post, usually the report just gets zapped without any further action at all.
