issue with signature limits

we all know that a sig is limited to 4 lines and 200 characters, but the problem is that it checks for that before adding in bbcode. if i put in a link like [ url]google.com[/url] then it counts it as 21 characters instead of 10 and can take up multiple lines if the link is long enough. i say that the signature should be checked after all the bbcode is added in.

I wish it were like that, I would have so much more space....
I'm pretty sure that my sig now is about 400 characters.   *checks*
Alright, it's 386, but close enough.   And that's with all links (including images) being shortened with Bit.ly.

It's character limit, not word limit. How about you just make your entire signature an image, so you can have all the text you want and save the character limit. I think signatures are big enough as it is.
