This 400 characters limit freaks me out...

NOT FAIR!

My sig has exactly 400 characters and it won't work! Then I tried and deleted 1 letter.

BUT:

Signatures cannot be longer than 400 characters.

EVEN if there were only 399 letters. WTF?

That's actually 402 characters.   Line breaks count too.

BBcode+anything inside the [] tags (if valid BBcode) shouldn't count towards the character limit, as it doesn't actually show up in the signature.
