Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Let's talk about double posting.
Technically speaking it isn't against the rules anymore. Double posting falls under the "spam" category. If the second or first post is spam or unnecessary, then it is removed.
People are both for and against a rule against double posting. I shall post again below to join in the discussion and not bias the first post of the thread.

Personally, I think double posting is fine. I find it difficult to respond to several people in a single post and I think it looks neater when things are broken up into smaller sections.
I would have prefered to have my guide be broken up into several small posts that way I could link to each one in an index, and yet it was against the rules so I did not. Wouldn't that have been so much prettier? :3
Also, I am a great believer that the rules should be as simple as the first three rules of be nice, don't spam, and don't be stupid. That's why I wrote them like that. The community has reputation marks, we can self-monitor. Mods really are only needed for big things IMO, and double posting is not one of them.

I totally agree. Sometimes, less is more, but maybe more can be more pretty.
And I don't like waiting a week for posting something I want.
What a great way to fight double posting by openly disobeying it while explaining it.
Now I'm happy that I can do this. So
1) Thank you fir this
2) Now I feel safe doing this
3) No, there' snothing else.
bee is now my favorite mod because she actually gets that stupid little broken rules don't hurt anyone and makes no difference.

See, Deetz, your post is what I would call spam. The first post you made is an example of a post that adds nothing to the conversation. It was relevant in my case because I wanted to create a thread for discussion, then partake in that discussion separate from the thread itself.
In case he edits his posts, this is what he said in each post:
I think it is a good idea. Below is some feedback regarding this topic.

Also, this is a discussion topic, for discussion. The rules today haven't changed from yesterday, I am simply voicing my opinion about them.

Osrry. I edit now.
Also, I am a great believer that the rules should be as simple as the first three rules of be nice, don't spam, and don't be stupid.
Does this mean I can report stupid posts now? :3
I don't mean to sound corny here, but here's a great metaphor:
Think of topics like paragraphs. The sentences in the paragraphs represent posts in a topic. Opening post is the thesis statement, etc etc.
One sentence is a dependent clause...
That it's pretty.
This makes no sense. Consider this a spam post. We don't like those in our paragraphs, so we recommend you not make them.
Another sentence is really long...
..when every scribe of any ambition at all went about constructing one architectural wonder of a sentence after another, because what is the point of writing if you cannot achieve with it things that cannot be achieved by speech, and this attitude led to a proliferation of ornate sentences designed to contain entire arguments between the first word and the final period, which often waited...*
It is completely optional, equally valid and sometimes more efficient to write this as two or more sentences.
..when every scribe of any ambition at all went about constructing one architectural wonder of a sentence after another. The point of writing is that you can express things you cannot achieve by speech, and this attitude led to a proliferation of ornate sentences designed to contain entire arguments between the first word and the final period. This lead to waited...
Is the sentence still relevant to the paragraph? Yes.
Do the sentences makes sense individually? Yes.
Everything's fine here.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Yes me too. But I don't think you should be si strict.
whiny pretentious asswipes who get their bib tangled because they can't bear to see the same information about someone twice in a row should not have an opinion in this thread.

Hi bee i wanted to know your a mod in ee right?
Attention:The poster above is a person that posts stuff in wrong places. And does not know how to PM people.
Anyways,on-topic now:
Why is the double post rule still active? I do not want to get banned for a day (I got two warnings,if i do bad things i will get a warning+banned for a day) so i still avoid double posting.
