Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Using the EE forums on a phone

Have you ever tried to use the forums on a phone? I logged in, went to off-topic and posted this thread on a smartphone. What about you?

Re: Using the EE forums on a phone

I peruse the forums on my phone often. It's very tedious, though.

I've done it once. It is very annoying because there is no mobile-optimization.

Re: Using the EE forums on a phone

Moved to forum discussion.

I honestly do this daily, usually immediately prior to going asleep, so at one am or so.
It's sort of hard to click on the sub-forums because then I usually end up pressing a moderator's name and then I have to go back and it's a hassle, but I occasionally zap a few reports, ban spambots, small things like that. It's quite tedious.

Re: Using the EE forums on a phone

I use EE on my phone exclusively for viewing topics and posting comments. I find it insanely difficult to do any moderation.

I'm using my phone right now, and I'm on forums with my phone more than with pc //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/tongue
I'm often using wii u too, because it's easier to write posts with it (easier than writing with phone)

Re: Using the EE forums on a phone

I use the forums on my phone about 50% of the time, since I don't always have the time to be at my house. I have a fast browser, which is helpful.

When I want to make long posts, however, I try to stick to the computer as much as possible.

So glad I'm not the only one who runs into this problem.

And sometimes it like messes up and I click on a sub-forum but it ends up taking me to the advertisement. Is that just me?

I've heard zooming in makes the interwebs much more usable

Re: Using the EE forums on a phone

I've never used the forums on a phone but I've tried it on a tablet I used to own (Samsung Galaxy 10.1)
It worked well with zooming and there wasn't any problems with links.

I couldn't really play Everybody Edits well on it - there wasn't any way that I knew of to manually bring up the on-screen keyboard.

Well obviously, but even with zooming I still have problems with hyperlinks.

I use it on my phone a lot, and like others, I have trouble clicking on subforums.

I've never used the forums on the phone, but I've used the 3DS. I usually just use this laptop to post.

I exclusively browse from my iPod now.   The site would benefit from scalability.

Re: Using the EE forums on a phone

I go on the forums on an iPad, much better than iPod. It's usually the only thing to do up to 4AM, it's 2:45 AM now..
